Just an idea--is there any way to get the former hosting company for GG to put up some kind of simple reference page, so people trying to reach GG get sent here? Just a thought, and please try not to laugh too hard--I may be a game geek

, but I know nothing about hardware and capabilities, or whether this is possible or not.

I'd imagine they well might do that if it included ads for their service and such.

But the request to do it would have to come from Rich.

Doesn't Rich still own the domain www.gonegold.com? In which case nobody can do anything with it without Rich's say so (as Peacedog said up above). The domain still exists it just isn't being hosted right now, hence www.gonegold.com can't link to anything without Rich getting the domain back up and running.

Yes, he owns it until July 2006 (or thereabouts). Or 2005 thereabouts.

Is there ANYONE who has contact with him now? I mean, jeez, even if he wanted money for the domain--I'm sure we could scrape it up among the people here.

I think it is clear at this point Rich doesn't want contact with GG people. He needs to get better, and I hope he does. It's probably a burden for us to even try.

It's best if we go forward with a clean slate.

As more time passes, and the shock starts to fade, I really do believe this is the right course of action.

There are very few times in life you get a chance to start over with a clean slate.

We (the community) should take this chance and RUN with it.

Deep down, I really believe Rich would want that.
