Can we have an announcement or News forum where key snippets can be posted. For example maintenance/the GG stuff and anything News worthy regarding the forum that is occuring - rather than have to decide where it may be

That is part of the function of this forum.

We were hoping this would also be a forum where people bring questions about "moderatorial" actions, though we were not necessarily going to strictly enforce that.
