I don't seem to be getting emails any longer from threads that I posted in. Is there something I have to do to turn this back on? Or is Gmail being blocked for some reason?

Interesting--I am receiving them, and also use Gmail.

You're getting email updates? You shouldn't be, the PTR record for the server hasn't been created yet (waiting on Volumedrive to do that, and they are working through a backlog of server installs based on the price). I'll follow up tomorrow if they haven't done it yet and see whats up, but I'd be surprised if email was working?

That's weird to say the least.. My testing to my gmail account (in and out) has been garbage, just delays.. SMTP rejection because the servers can't do a PTR lookup and find that the IP is authorized. So umm.. I'm glad you are getting them!

I sent through another snotgram asking them to take 5 minutes and enter the PTR record for us.. Hopefully soon.

Otherwise it would seem the server is performing awesome! I just need to re-setup zmanda and get the backups working every night, and then schedule an FTP cron to dump them on my home m3g4hurtz.

Just got an email that the PTR is set.. Email notifications should resume any minute now..

(might explain the sluggish server too, at least from up here in my igloo).

I was doing some work setting up backup jobs and tested them, the full backup would have taken around 15 minutes on the database.. Not sure what time that was specifically at but definitely this evening.

What was happening? Couldn't post/edit? That was the backup.. if there's other oddness let me know and I will check it out.

Forums took a long time to load maybe 3-4 minutes ago. Kept getting a connection hang after clicking on a topic or a subforum. Interestingly, I was able to access the board on my phone with no noticeable lag. Things seem fine now though.

I was having trouble getting it to load or fully load. I had a white background with blue hyper links only. Sometimes it would load but i was not logged in and could not log in.Then it started loading very slowly and not a full page. When i posted stuff it would go to the next screen and never load the post. But it did post it seems.

There is most definitely a network problem at our new provider.. We aren't the only ones experiencing it. I've got a support issue into them for it, I'll let you know what the update is as soon as I've got one.
