No just a subtle note that the smiley's are an administrative area, territory typically avoided by us technical administrators. The OO administrative staff has made policy and protocol on the subject and could feel slighted, and rightfully so. Although I doubt that is likely in this case and I doubt FP was even aware.

I am quite sure though that I am not the only one who noticed and that it will be discussed and resolved in a fashion agreeable to the wisest of leadership councils on the face of the planet.

I had actually hoped the masses would miss it and just see me trying out a new smilie. Foolish me.

It would have been perfect if those last six (edit: seven) posts had been in the problems thread.

Ha!
Yeah, thinking when someone posts, they get an error message, then go back and post again... fail, and try to post again. All the while, the submit button is really posting. It will take a few more days to smooth things out.

I have no idea what was involved in Frankensteining this site back to life, but thanks.

Probably not totally appropriate here and now, but would this be a good time to officially change the site logo to something less Star Wars-y? Sith don't repeatedly come back from the dead....

I thought I had been stealth-banned, but couldn't for the life of me remember what I might have done.

It's good to be back.

I'll do more with the Amazon link. A lot of my IT purchasing for work is done through there and I don't think to come here first.

If there was some way for the site to auto-add the Amazon info to any thing someone posts here (so that when you click on it, the Amazon page automatically includes the OO referral when loading the new page), that would be pretty amazing.

Yep I've already looked for that, but unfortunately there's only a mod for vbulletin (that's a paid mod at that) to do it. Can't find anything similar for phpbb3.

There is no way you should be shouldering this financial burden especially now that the site costs more. Would it be a problem for you to let us know your out of pocket expenses after Amazon$ & donations so we can plan to reimburse you. You could do it monthly or bimonthly or even quarterly. Just a simple

$300 server fees (Qtr)
-$160 amazon
-$40 paypal

$100 balance needed for quarter.
