I don't think emails get sent out. When you and I were trying to set up those games, we didn't get a flood of emails from all the ones we created so I doubt it.

Come to think of it, that woul dbe a nice addition. I'll see if I can post feedback to the effect.

I think this will be the place to coordinate. Wednesday is really the only night where I probably can't play.

I set up a 2$ tourney for tonight 9:30 PM. Trying to see if there are any options to email it out to everyone.

I've email them suggesting it but there is no way to email from within PS with the tourney details. That's unfortunate.

Apparently you do receive an email when a new game is set up. Can someone confirm they've received something?
Thank you for your interest in PokerStars Home Games. Players already receive an automated email whenever you schedule a new game.

So yeah, 10 minute levels is too long. Hehe. Lesson learned. 67 minutes for 4 players with the last 40 between me and JC. Phew!

Thanks for coming out guys!

theo had no luck tonight! Man, that was harsh.

Yeah :( Even with late reg until 9:40, you were 20 minutes late.

Is 8pm your time usually a better time?

In general 7:30 and 8pm (MST) are equivalent for me. Yesterday was an anomaly.

Hopefully it was a good time! I won't be able to participate tonight or Thursday, but have an off chance of being able to play on Friday evening and possibly Sunday.

Great playing with you. Did tend to drag at the end there with just the two of us. Thought I had ya a couple of times but I never should have pushed on the straight and flush draw.

Is there any break feature in the home game? The normal tournaments break for 10 minutes every hour. You think that went long the other night I played in Pot Limit Freeroll HORSE tournament with 8000 people. Came in second and it took almost 7hrs. The No Limit Hold Em ones I have played took about an hour and half each. Those had 8000 in one and 10000 in the other and I came in 134 and 187 in those. Reminds me a need to see when the finals of the HORSE tournament are think the winner gets 2 grand so will have to give the shot.

The break are available. I had them set to off as I didn't it would take more than 30 minutes. I believe they are 5 minutes long.

™ wrote:I have got money nearly instantaneously deposited from my checking account via echecks (easily figured out via the in-PokerStars deposit page from the Cashier menu). You need your bank's routing number and your account number. You need to provide a legit name, address, and phone number, along with (and this is the bummer) your SSN. eChecks is relatively well regarded via online fora that discuss these sorts of things (do your own research!). My initial deposit limit is relatively small, though grows after things clear these first few days.

Before you just jump in (especially for folks who don't already have a poker stars account) do your own research on "Deposit Bonuses" and "Rakeback". There are advantages to doing this research before creating your account. (Folks who already have a P* account, will be locked out of these opportunities.) I'm not going to get into these things (either by posts or by PMs -- sorry, but I will ignore anyone wanting to initiate that conversation with me; absolutely nothing personal! But I'm not going to give advice that may impact your finances.)

...

The deposit process was absolutely painless (and nearly instantaneous) assuming you're comfortable with online transactions and sending your SSN to a foreign banking entity. PLEASE do your own research and determine your personal comfort level with eChecks.

I was finally going to join, and I can't. I can't remember my old password for PokerStars, and it won't let me create a new account since it already has me in their system. Nor will it send me my old password without verifying information that I can't remember. I have too many old addresses in the last 8 years, and too many email addresses that I use for spam accounts, and I can't recall the right combination of them to open my stupid Poker*'s account. Ugh.

Yay! Success! I'm in under the very first username I set up on PokerStars- MustangGoose. When I logged on, I learned that I still had money in my account despite last using it on 10-2-08, so yay!

I've submitted my request to join the OO game, so tjg just needs to approve me and I'm ready!

That should be over by 9 to 9:30 ET unless you are actually going to the game. If so, have fun.

Setting one up for 9:30 ET would be great, but let's canvas the crowd first to see if a different time is better.

I'll try to be there (7:30pm my time), but today got unexpectedly hectic at the last minute yesterday (found out a friend and former coworker was coming into town after I had already shoveled a bunch of responsibilities to today), so I'm not 100% locked in on making it. But I'd like to!

Should be interesting as while MHS and I have played live together countless times, we've never squared off online AFAIK.
