Be warned: As great as Reaper is, these were packed at a random overseas factory, and there have been a few cases of missing pieces. One person mentioned getting two sets of goblin pyros instead of one of pyros and one of regular goblins. A few people have mentioned getting an extra arm for Kaladrax, but missing a leg. Two of A, none of B.

Even a mere 0.1% error rate across hundreds of thousands of miniatures means thousands of errors. It's unavoidable.

So, if you care enough, double check your pieces. Reaper will fix any mistakes once all of the shipping is done in a couple of weeks - just drop them an email.

We got started painting today. I got all of my Deep Dwellers add-on primed, almost finished one of them, with three more of them base-coated (I paint slow, OK?). One of my friends got started dry-brushing my Kaladrax since I suck at dry-brushing, and the guy who ordered the C'thulu (who also paints way the hell faster and better than I do) got pretty far on him.

I'll try to post pictures as we finish up various minis.

Four hours of inventory checklisting later, and I've got everything sorted. I actually had a few errors. My There Be Dragons came with two shadow dragons and no fire dragon, my Orcpocalypse was missing an archer, plus one of the swordsmen (swordsorcs?) was missing a sword. My Forces of Nature was missing the earth elemental's head. I was initially going to report that the 'victim' was missing from the altar, but it seems they removed it intentionally after posting the picture. I got two of the 'hands down' Deep Dwellers, and none of the 'hands up' model.

Still, I'm very happy with it all. I will try and post some pictures later. I want to send another thanks out to a handful of the OO folks who surprised me last August by kicking in on this deal. Thank you!

Time to put brush to pallette!

Cataloging sounds a lot like work. I think I'm just going to assume I got 98% of what I was supposed to and get with the painting.

Yeah. We had all the pieces for our models (they all got dry-assembled immediately just to geek out over how cool they looked), and all the add-ons are complete, so if there's anything missing it's just a model or two. Considering we got 295 models, one or two isn't something anyone's worried about.

I would, at the very least, test assemble all of the multi-piece miniatures. One of our problems was a missing head on the Forces of Nature earth elemental.

I wish I'd gotten into painting minis before this kickstarter finished. I did get about almost two dozen minis by adding on to Seppe's order, but I look at all you folks and the amount of minis you got and I'm jealous.

On a side note, are the reaper bones minis from this kickstarter for sale yet? There are a few I wouldn't mind picking up retail.

Not yet. They're not putting them up for retail until all of the pledges are fulfilled, and they've been having major problems with the international orders, from the USPS refusing to send trucks on time to various local regulations in the destination countries. The first truck is scheduled to leave today, though, so it is getting sorted.

Wow, really? Let me think that over. I already have about two dozen minis from the set and I feel kind of guilty buying them again...especially after blowing so much cash on the Duel of Ages 2 sets. But thanks for the offer.

What happened? I thought you were looking forward to the set?

I have had the minis for 4 months now (don't tell TiLT) and have not even bothered to get any of them out of the bags, much less buy any paint. I bought a learn to paint kit from reaper (which has very specific instructions on painting the included minis) a couple of months ago and haven't touched that either. I even bought all the other stuff I would need... and have done nothing.

I'm really good at buying things. Seriously, I am very good at it! I am very bad at doing things... that aren't video games, anyway.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. But I completely understand. I've done the exact same thing on more than one occasion.

Let me mull it over, but by all means if someone else wants to take you up on the offer, don't hesitate to sell it to them. I just need to make sure I'm not doing the same thing you're mentioning right now...especially with Gencon coming up next month and my potentially devastating Malifaux purchases.

I finally got my minis last week. I was probably among the last few hundred to get shipped, as the email about shipping being over came just days after my shipping notice. Bad luck.

I was more lucky with the contents. I've counted every single thing I received, and it's all there... with one exception. I've got one more zombie and one less skeleton in my Undead Horde extra, but that's hardly a disaster. Since the forum downtime took away the shipping notice I'd posted, here's what was in the package:
Hi there! We're shipping out your Kickstarter stuff!

You're getting:
C'thulhu x1
Hydra x1
Swamp Things x1
Jabberwock x1
Starter Set 2 x1
Demons x1
Figure Case x2
Mind your Manors x1
Orcapocalypse x1
Starter Paint Set x1
Undead Horde x1
vampire x1
I've started out by painting all my rats. That's 12 rat miniatures and 2 rat swarms. I'm pretty much done with them, so now they only need a bit of varnish to be complete. I'll post pics in the other thread when ready.
