I was going to say that I registered with my fiancee, but by that date, she should be my wife.

I'm sure it deserves congratulations. I mean sure the con sells out every year, but it's pretty easy to get registered right when it opens up.

My flight lands right before 11AM on Wednesday, November 20th. I'll be leaving on Sunday at around 5.

Is it just gonna be me and coop there from OO?

What am I, chopped liver? And she will still be my fiancée. Being unemployed for four months kind of puts a damper on wedding planning.

While I would like to visit Texas some time when I'm not going to risk heatstroke walking a single block, I will never be able to get out of town for a personal trip during November. :(

People not only want to get tax planning by year end, they also end up visiting family and want to get their documents in order before travel or visiting family. Other times, it's visiting the family that's the kick in the pants to remove/add someone from the estate. Plus, the stress of the holidays does kill people. It's difficult for me to get away from the office during early April, October and November through early January. Origins (June) and GenCon (August) are perfect. When it's nice and warm out, most people just aren't thinking about their taxes or death.

I suspect Lorini will be there as well. At least I see her posting in the BGGCon forums.

At BGG Con, I’ll be picking up these games from Funagain:

Prosperity, by Sebastian Bleasdale(who designed the excellent Keyflower from last year and Reiner Knizia, who needs no introduction.

Caverna: The Cave Farmers, which is the sequel to Agricola.

I’ll be buying, if I can:

Glass Road, also by Uwe Rosenberg

Russian Railroads

Tash-Kalar:Arena of Legends, by my favorite designer, Vlaada Chvatil.

Rococo, by Mattias Cramer, one of my favorite new designers, who is also responsible for Lancaster, and Glen More, two recent favorites.

I don’t think I’ll be able to get a copy at the Con, but the hottest game on my radar is Nations, a civ-building game that is being touted as my favorite game(Through the Ages) in a shorter time-frame.

I’m also looking to demo:

Alien Uprising, co-designed by Richard Launius, . Not yet available.

Coal Baron: Another Kramer/Kiesling joint.

Going, Going, Gone! by Scott Nicholson, a very funny and silly auction game. I’ve heard great things.

Blueprints: A neat-sounding dice placement game.

I am so behind on A:NR. I have proven my corp deck is a travesty and unplayable. My Runner deck doesn't totally suck, but is probably not ready for prime time. I have no cards from the second cycle in any decks at this point. It's sad. Really. I'll play though. I love to play. :D

If you haven't flown out yet, bring a Mage Wars spell book or two also! I am more interested in that than Netrunner. :) I can bring the game. You just need your spellbook.

My Mage Wars books are packed, I'm bringing a Forcemaster and an experimental Warlord.

Now I really feel bad about not getting around to playing Mage Wars on Saturday at Octocon.

I was undecided on whether I wanted to show up early and get in line this morning or just wait until later and skip the line. Work decided it for me. I will head that way around 11 and hopefully the line is gone by the time I get there.
