Emperor's New Clothes [Kickstarter]
This looks amazing. I'm not sure I like the press-your-luck component of this one, but intrigued enough to be in at the $25 level. They have a great group of artists involved and I think their work will really mesh well together.

I'm going to save my money for the Vaporware computer software.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Seems like a ripoff of Plain White Cardstock.

Watch the video in the Kickstarter. If you still don't get it, you're the ones that are going to become the victims of any jokes made with this thing.
The idea seems to be that this boardgame has been developed using advanced technology that makes only true gamers able to see the text and art on the game pieces. In order to keep your "dignity", you need to play along and pretend that you can see everything just fine. This means rolling the dice, playing cards, placing counters, groaning at your mistakes and cheering at your victories. I can imagine this being great when you've got a few people playing who know what's going on, while everyone else flocks around and goes "huh?". Perfect for public places. Anyone asking why people are playing with blank gaming pieces is going to reveal that they aren't true gamers, after all.

Way to blow it for me, TiLT. We didn't even make it to April Fool's Day.

I did watch the video, but it's still more fun to play along.TiLT wrote:Watch the video in the Kickstarter. If you still don't get it, you're the ones that are going to become the victims of any jokes made with this thing.

Yeah I get that... I'm more confused that it even exists. The comments section of it are funny to read though.TiLT wrote:Watch the video in the Kickstarter. If you still don't get it, you're the ones that are going to become the victims of any jokes made with this thing.

I noticed somewhere in the comments that they're proud of their WYSIAYG design.
