Best Game of Last Five Years - Round 3 (extended)
We live!
We had been in the middle of Round 3. Below were the standings as I remember them:
- Skyrim was leading Dragon Age: Origins by a large margin.
- Borderlands 2 was leading XCOM by a significant margin.
- Fallout: New Vegas was leading Civilization V by a significant margin.
- Red Dead Redemption was leading Portal 2 by one point.
Smoove_B had threatened BURNINATION if RDR lost. Others said bad things about RDR. Then the forum outage happened. Lesson learned.
I thought about just going on ahead with the above results to Round 4, but maybe it would be best to have a short repeat of Round 3 just to be more official and give OOers more time to find their way back here. I expect the results to be the same, but I've been wrong before, I think.
So please use the poll function to vote on the matches before the weekend. Below is the bracket in case you wish to see it. And remember that all 8 of the games of this round will compete again in the Best Game of All Time tournament.
(Edited to extend deadline and enable vote changing.)

Voting multiple times in the same election? Reminds me of home.

I didn't even know we had a poll function.
I have but one advocate.

Re: Best Game of Last Five Years - Round 3 do-over
Uh-ohz. We haz a problem. The poll deadline has run and RDR and Po2 are tied 8 to 8. Any ideas on how to resolve it?
I'd like to extend the poll deadline in hopes of getting more votes to break the tie, but I'm wondering whether doing that will erase the polling results. The last time I changed a poll, that did erase the results (though it was by adding options to the poll). Anyone know whether I can extend the deadline and still keep the results intact?

Run off poll for just those two.

I may do that, though I'm worried that'll end in a tie, too.coopasonic wrote:Run off poll for just those two.
I took a chance and extended the deadline, and it didn't erase the poll results. Whew. So everyone has an extra day to vote.

I don't believe people are taking me seriously. Portal 2 -- solid game. Great continuation of the original. Funny. Excellent pacing. But Red Dead Redemption is a better game.
