Abstain, I haven't played enough of either to make this decision.
I think my goal for next year will be to finally get around to playing both of these though.

This is actually motivating me to go back and play Baldur's Gate 1, which I never finished for some reason. Maybe I'll replay two after that.

While both great games full of fond memories, neither really feel like they could fill the niche of my best of all time game.

Baldur's Gate II
I 've pumped days of my life into both titles. Man that is a tough choice, as it should be.
It's a testament to the design of X-Com, that even in the face of just absolutely crude...almost everything - graphics, controls, in some ways, UI, etc...that they made such a powerfully addictive, and fun to play title. Just think if someone actually was able to REMAKE that game, but using modern tools and graphics? It would absolutely kick ass.
But alas, I have to go with Baldur's Gate II for my vote. I enjoyed the hell out of X-Com, but was in a constant state of gaming bliss with both BG titles, hoping they would never end. The story, the exploration, the attention to detail and the writing - makes me want a BG III.

I agree. Some people clearly voted wrong in the previous rounds.LordMortis wrote:While both great games full of fond memories, neither really feel like they could fill the niche of my best of all time game.

When it's all said and done Nintendo Wrestling is already the winner, so I am happy.wonderpug wrote:I agree.
