Hey all,
any suggestions on PC Games that will run smooth on a low-end PC (surface pro 2)?

Avoid FPS and mmorpgs.

If you're willing to play older games, then yeah - we'll have hundreds of suggestions. Give us a better idea of your likes, dislikes, and what you've played.

I liked a lot Diablo 2, i played hundred times. I have Diablo 3, i finished it once, i never touch it again.
I LOVE isometric perspective games. Strategy and point and click.

They always go on sale, so add Jagged Alliance and Jagged Alliance 2 to your list if you haven't played them already. The formula has been attempted numerous times, but I've yet to play any version of the game that comes close to the originals.

Titan Quest and the Immortal Throne expansion
Torchlight 1 & 2
The rereleases of the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale titles
Civilization IV
Evil Genius
Fallout Tactics
Rome: Total War
Shadowrun Returns, Dragonfall, and Hong Kong.
X-Com: Enemy Within/Unknown

Of course, you still need to check the specs on some of them and compare them to your actual set-up. Most (I believe all) are available on GoG.com or Steam.

Don't Starve.

I'm also think shop on GOG.

Up until very recently just about every game I bought or downloaded played already on a low end machine. I was pretty happy, right up until Clockwork Empires took an update that wouldn't work with my video card. It was all downhill from there.

Also loved Torchlight II for a good long time. Easily the best "Diablo II Clone" I've played.

You mentioned loving Diablo. I know I mentioned Titan Quest earlier, but a new version was just released today (Titan Quest Anniversary Edition) that updates all sorts of stuff and includes the expansion. It is currently on sale for $5 in celebration on Steam.
