It's really not a fairly strong case, nor do I really think that he (Punisher I'm assuming is who you are referring to) actually incriminated himself. He was just throwing out Star Wars lines.
Yeah, it's possible, I still like my vote for now until something better comes along!

Perhaps we should vote Vorret. He is Canadian after all. Which means his government is not nearly as much of a mess as ours and I'm jealous. Lets punish him for not having to deal with the crap coming out of DC.

Although, I still like my Newcastle vote for equally strong reasons.

My rule is that Remus is always a good target for a night kill. If he survives too long, it's usually because he's evil.
Yeah, the way you build up reliable information over time is that via lynches and night kills you find out known information about particular players, then you examine how other (living) players interacted with them, and who voted for whom (and when). Also over time some players will claim roles (truthfully or otherwise) and supply additional information.

But on day 1, there's really nothing reliable to go on, so usually we thrash around randomly, someone says something that sounds vaguely incriminating if you squint, we almost lynch them, they reveal themselves to be the Seer, and then we lynch some other random villager.
In this game, which avatar would be the seer? Remember, I'm new so not up on all the terms.

Hey! Nobody remembers that game. Nobody remembers I won that game on team evil. By talking them into lynchingvyhe Priest which was literally their only losing move iirc.

Aren't Canadians responsible for global warming in order to get rid of the permafrost?

I really don't want to pile on the new player, but Punisher's "rebel scum" definitely registered.

And I'm going to go with the theory that the wolves would not target the new guy. (If he's a wolf, obviously they won't. If he's a villager, they want an inexperienced player to survive.) They're going to want to playfully pile on one of the veteran players, but not the *obvious* veterans.

The pile-on against Vorret (by Scoop, RMC, Moliere) is thus suspicious to me. Moliere took the opportunity to go third there, making it a solid thing.

Hey, why not?

It's much easier to spectate.

As much as I could pile on the sacrificial Canadian, Remus West started that train -- and then held back. Remus pings me wrong, but let's see if he survives the night.

Why not, indeed?

This game is looking a lot more complicated than I thought. I may just have to use wheeldecide.
I do think my biggest disadvantage is not necessarily understanding the rules, it is more not knowing the players and how they think.

Question.. and I'm sure I missed it somewhere...

How does one win this game?
Are we all just looking for a personal win like in a free for all or is this more of a team deathmatch?

Teams.

Evil wins when they are equal in number to good.

Good wins when all the Evil are dead.

And, it's important to note that you win with your team, so you may 'take one for the team', if it promotes their victory.

I swear some players don't get that and will try and stay alive at any and all costs.

HEY BB2112!

Question about Joruus' evil free scan:

He gets it if he is in on the lynch of a wolf or "a Jedi." Jedi means *only* Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, yes? So a lynch on Mon Mothma or Talon Kaaarrrrde gets him nothing?

This leads to another question:

Do we learn the alignment and role of people lynched, or just the alignment, or neither?

I keep thinking if punisher is on the bad team, surely his teammates would have filed him in by now that he sure looks evil. Then again they may say now that the cats already out of the bag so run with it.

I remember a certain *cough* *cough* newbie fooling the heck out of me before. For all you know he has teammates coaching right now about how to keep acting dumb. That said I'm not so sure thats the case this time. I'm more interested in Vorret's claim that Canadians aren't evil when we all know they are.

The evil team has its own private forum where they can communicate behind the scenes. (AS YOU NO DOUBT KNOW!!!)

The rest of us are limited to open talk on the game forum. In fact, private messages WRT to the game are against the rules.

Another rule (usually--I assume it's the case here) is that editing your posts in the game forum is forbidden.

Must have missed the private forum thing. I thought nobody knew who any one was.
If evil knows each other, then all kills they make are known good guys so it would seem it is easier for them. In fact, if they just stay quiet, all kills would be random except for theirs so I would think they have a much easier path to victory...

But then people who didn't vote or take part in the byplay would look suspicious. Since *someone* has to get lynched every day, everyone's behavior is being watched. Not voting or not justifying your vote is a sure way to look like you're hiding something.

The Evils want to ferret out the Good special roles and get them killed early (preventing scans and protection, etc). It's even better if they can get it done with a lynch rather than at night, since this casts suspicion on everyone who bought in (some of whom will necessarily be non-Evils), driving future lynches.
