Can't say that's what I expected out of this hand! I'll try to get resolution late this evening. (I really hope my spotty updates aren't forcing the two of you to play more aggressively than you'd like... Remember, there's a sizable amount of money at stake here!)

do you know before the hand starts how it's gonna end?

And yes I am pushing it to end it. It has been a blast and it is nobodies fault but summer is here and it is time to move on. Money is nice and all that but I just wanted to get to the end in this one after it appeared I had luck on my side in the last one.

My workflow has changed from what I've done in the past as follows:
  • Go to http://www.random.org/playing-cards/" target="_blank and select 25 random cards.
  • Using the first two rows to transcribe as many hands as are needed (currently I'm just using the first two columns to define a poker hand as there are only two of you).
  • Use the third row of five cards and transcribe the first three as the flop, the fourth card as the turn, and the fifth card as the river.
  • Enter everything into my spreadsheet, not associating any particular hands with any particular player.
  • When a new hand comes up, randomize the possible hands to the remaining players and transcribe those to my "in play" tab.
  • Make forum posts.
  • Wait for folks to take actions.
  • Resolve actions, transcribe into the spreadsheet, make results forum posts. Rinse, repeat.
So, ahead of time I do know which hands are coming, but I don't know who will get which hand basically until I type "Cards are on their way." At that point I have determined who would win should the hand go to showdown.

Wow. That sounds a lot more complicated than how I used random.org when I ran my game.
