Prom Night Massacre

Just when you thought it was safe to go to the prom...

Roles:

Killer - When the lights go out the killer slits the throat of a student.

Crazy Killer Special Abilities:
1. Only twice (2) per game the killer can use his crazy senses at night to see in the dark and make out how many couples are left. He does not see who those couples are.

2. Only twice (2) per game and not on the first night, the killer can attempt to kill two students. First, the killer names his primary target. Second, he names his secondary target. If the secondary target is single (partner has already been killed on a previous night or partner is the primary target) then both targets are killed. If the secondary target is part of a couple, then both victims are spared (killer gets no kill that night). Also, if either the primary target or secondary target are the Female Heroine then both victims are spared (killer gets no kill that night). The secondary victim realizes an attempt was made on his or her life but the primary target is unaware.

3. Only once (1) per game, the killer can also use his insanity influence to cast a secret vote. Once this vote is cast it cast it is permanent and can be never cast again. The vote does not show up in the totals but as soon as a majority is reached the victim is named and is shot. The killer does not have to make a public vote to use his or her secret vote.

The Killer and Female Heroine can not be a couple together.

Prom King - Through the magic of his prom king crown, the prom king can scan another player to see if they are the killer.

Prom Queen - Through the magic of her prom queen crown, once per game the Prom Queen can rig the gun to backfire killing the person firing the gun instead of killing the target.

Female Heroine - The Achilles heal of all killers, the Female Heroine can not be killed by the Killer. If the Killer targets the Female Heroine, she is able to fight him off and killer gets no kill that night. If the Female Heroine is attacked by the Killer, she will know she has been attacked and survived but will not know the identity of her attacker.
No one knows the identity of the Female Heroine (including the Female Heroine). She could be any student or the Prom Queen (the Killer and Prom King are not eligible). The Killer and Female Heroine can not be a couple together. The Female Heroine will scan as a normal student if scanned by the Prom King.

Nine Students - Everyone always said this would be one of the best nights of your life. No one said it might also be your last.

Rulez:

Couples:
Each student is part of a couple and can secretly speak to each other throughout the course of the game (a secret forum will be provided for each team. Everyone came with a date including the Killer, Prom King, and Prom Queen.

Beginning of Game:
The game begins with the power going out. Students may immediately access their secret forum and being speaking with their partner/date. The killer can kill one student. Then the lights come back on, the dead student is revealed and players may begin voting. It will not be revealed if the prom queen or prom king is killed.

Game Flow:

The game take places in half hours which serve as turns. Power going out is the normal night in other werewolf games. Power coming on begins the normal days in other werewolf games.

Every hour (after a majority vote is reached and a student dispatched), the power goes out and one person is killed by the killer.

When the lights come on, it is revealed who was killed. The killer leaves a note saying, "Choose a student and kill them with the gun. If you can't choose, I kill you all!"

The students vote who they believe is the killer. Once a majority vote the student with the most votes must name a student (by PM to the Mod) who will shoot the gun that kill them.

Boilerplate:

Night One Only:
Killer:
Who's throat do you wish to slit?

Prom King:
Who do you wish to scan?

Night:
Killer:
Do you wish to slit someone's throat and if so who?
Do you wish to attempt to kill two students? If so, who is your primary target and who is your secondary target?
Do you wish to use your crazy senses to see who many couples are left?

Day:
Killer:
Do you wish to use your secret vote?

Prom Queen:
Do you wish to rig the gun to backfire killing the person firing it?

Victory Conditions:

Killer Victory: The killer wins when he is able to kill at least one student of each couple. This includes the student he is in a couple with. Once the students are scattered then he can easily kill the single students.

Student Victory: The students win when the killer is killed.

You need to remove the restrictions of who can be in a couple with each other. Otherwise you will have 4 "knowns" on the first day as there will be little reason for the King and Queen to not come forward and form a strong block that way.

Scoop, and other rule makers, I wonder if it would be interesting to let the condemned select his executioner. This would keep the whole Random.org thing out (more ideal), and also allow for the possibility of a Queen / condemned partnership using the gun's backfire with some precision. (more high-fivey).

I really like the idea of everyone having a PM partner, it's a simple way to give everyone a power - and I bet it's gonna be a fun element.

That might work better than just the 2nd place voter getting to use the gun. Let me think about it for a sec. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, thats been on my mind tonight. I leafing through my brain of things I can add in. Not sure what direction I want to go yet. Trying to think of something in the realm of a Hollywood slasher TWIST.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
