You're in no position to be coy. Either "yes it matters" who receives the gun, or else you're bluffing and the game ends with your death as Slashy. So what exactly is the point of your not being forthcoming?

On the other hand, the only person who would lie about being Queen is Slashy, and if you're Slashy and you're about to die, then (a) it doesn't matter whether you lie, and (b) it doesn't matter whether you know who's partnered. Slashy is flying solo for Team Evil.

Fine: theohall is my partner, and theohall has privately maintained that he is the Queen.

It's easy enough to settle the issue:

(a) If you're Slashy, then you die today and the game ends. PromKidz victory.
(b) If you're the Queen, then you select theohall as your executioner and make the gun blow up in his face. Slashy dies today and the game ends. PromKidz victory.
(c) If you're not the Queen and not Slashy, then we'll have to come up with a new term of mocking derision for null or team-damaging emulation of a Special. The GetSmart-Hymie yoke will finally be lifted from Scoop's weary shoulders.

That said, I happen to be an innocent (as you know) and a simple Prom-goer. What you thought you'd accomplish by keeping me alive and lying to me, I have no idea. You would've been smarter to kill me right out of the gate.

That way either Theohall is proven to have lied and dies or Semaj dies as the one who claimed Queen to him is proven the liar. If Semaj himself is claiming Queen then giving Theohall the gun also means the lying party is the dead party.

Frankly, Semaj's seeming unwillingness to openly proclaim queen suggests that he is lying in my opinion.

That's a possible scenario. And if neither Semaj nor theohall is the Slashy, then Slashy will attack either me or theohall tonight. That'll reduce the number of couples by 1.

This was the calculated risk behind my stepping forward and trying to fork them. What made the gambit worthwhile was the high likelihood that by tonight, Slashy would probably have attacked me or theohall anyhow (since attempted bandwagons against us had failed), regardless of this revelation. This way, in the unlikely event that they're both innocent, we at least have something concrete to discuss.

But the point of the risk is to play the odds, and the odds favor the notion that one or the other is guilty.
