Redrun was the first person to stumble into the dining area that morning. His eyes were red and his head hurt, but not enough to stop him from making the first pot of Java. Over the next hour and a half everyone had gotten up and shuffled to the breakfast tables to eat…except one.
“Hey where is that weird guy that sat in the corner all night watching us?” tru1cy queries.
“Chaosraven? He’s over there.” Stessier points him out at the far table.
“No, the one that was sitting alone.”
Remus looks up, “Ah yes, I remember him. Red beard, didn’t talk, just sat there and wrote stuff down.”
Everyone look around, and it was obvious he wasn’t there.
“He must be really shy. I’ll get him and let him know we are eating breakfast.” Mr Bubbles walks off and everyone returns to their casual talk amongst each other.
Mr Bubbles returns running and out of breath. “He’s dead! And his name was Grundbegriff. Someone stabbed him with a knife! And I found this note…I…I thought it was suicide note but…here, you read it” Bubbes hands the note to Newcastle.
“The calm is over and the hunt begins. –The Cylons” Newcastle looks up, “Oh frak! We have some hybrids amongst us. We’ve got to lock down the area and no one leaves until we find the hybrids hiding amongst us.”
Newcastle stares ahead, “Gods of Cobol, it’s the Scorpia Incident all over again.”
Athena- Will you scan a Cylon?
Tyrol-Will you pass/fire the gun?
Citizens-Who will you execute?

How to proceed was the topic of the discussion at the moment. It was decided that a majority vote would decide who was to be executed. This was the method they used during the Scorpia Incident, and even though the outcome of that incident did not come out so well, after months of studying the journals left behind no better method was ever found.
Meanwhile, someone had posted a picture of the victim on the wall of the dining area.

Well this tells us several things about the killers.. They are insecure. Probably white males in their 40's and based on the common profile wear double breasted suits, while still living with mom. But the one thing that I'm surprised about is they didn't kill him with a bomb.

I feel like we should start a checklist for the first night kill, so that we don't have to constantly regenerate the list of possible options when we start games.
1. "He'd said something that made him seem like a special!"
2. "They hated him for his past misdeeds/successes!"
3. "They just couldn't handle his erudite analytical skills!"
4. "They probably just selected him via random.org!"
5. "They thought it'd be funny!"
6. "They're hoping to cast doubt on traditional opponent/foil X!"
Any others?

I think the only reason they wear double-breasted suits is that they can depend on mom getting them dry-cleaned.

-- Nope. However, I think it's worth noting that they choose to kill Grund without knowing if he was Galen - they were willing to risk losing Grund as a potential teammember, when they could have choosen to wait one day while D'anna scanned him.Brendan wrote:I feel like we should start a checklist for the first night kill, so that we don't have to constantly regenerate the list of possible options when we start games.

I am not jealous as I'd like to avoid the pornographic PMs from Lassr he implies came with it but it was a pretty much open claim. One which allows us to prove someone good to an extent. Not certain why they would but....

Why would we question Chaos's claim he was bedded last night. You think they would make a move this early? I find that highly unlikely.

So do I. Better safe than sorry though. I'd be happy if someone countered it. That would mean that we had one of them between Chaosraven and his counter claimant.Mr Bubbles wrote:Why would we question Chaos's claim he was bedded last night. I initially brought it up because I wondered about the folks ignoring it. We have someone who has made a statement that is essentially the equivilant of claiming a role but without risking a special. I think that is worth noting. It saves Athena the need to scan him. It keeps a bit of tabs on the Cylons activities for us. It provides us with information. Ignoring it makes me wonder. Talking about it certainly is not going to tell the Cylons anything they do not already know since his claim is based on their action.

Is Chaos making that claim, or is he just joking? I have a hard time believing any special would come forward right now before, y'know, we've talked about everything (or anything, really).
