LOST 2 - NEED replacement player for GAME thread. Please PM.

Post by Grundbegriff »

Oceanic Boogaloo....

At some point in the rotation, I'll be hosting a revamped version of my LOST game. I'll incorporate suggested fixes, improve the balance, and introduce impediments that make it more difficult for power to become concentrated in the hands of a trusted few.

{EDIT: rule exposition starts right here. Please comment, and especially point out any holes!}

I'll also be swapping in new props, locations, powers, and characters to reflect ideas and themes from the second half of the series. As before, I'll do what I can to avoid spoilers for folks who want to play but also have plans to watch the series someday.

In the meantime, if you'd like to become acquainted with the first iteration of the LOST game, here's a link that will take you to the Popehat forum, where the game was played.

New gameplay mechanics include powers associated with Jacob/Anti-Jacob, better communication options, an enhanced Desmond, and (most interestingly) a parallel, hidden board representing a prior time. Player's moves on the "Past" board will potentially affect how things unfold on the visible "Present" board.

While I'm ironing out the details, please feel free to post ideas or register your interest in signing up to play!

Was not around for the last round, so count me IN, also. Should be settled in Jacksonville with no more deployments by the time this one starts.

Yeah-- I can't really do this before Father's Day weekend at the earliest. So a three-weeker would be just right. Even a fortnight-and-a-halfer would do the trick.

If you have signed up for this game, or if you're considering doing so, please add to this thread your preferred time to start.

The game can start anytime between 20 June and sometime in July. Let me know what you'd like to do.

--- Hmmm. I've never seen the show (don't worry about spoilers for me, I'll probably never see the show). I've read the first couple of pages of the popehat game, will read the rest prior to the game. I'd prefer not to start before the last week of June, any time after that is good for me. However, looking at all the possibilities - I'd like to be in, but if so, I certainly expect to be lost. :)
Sufficient I am to the day.

I'm aiming to post the rules (and possibly starting the game) on Monday or Tuesday. If you'd like to play and haven't already indicated that in this thread, please post your interest so I can plan around the approximate number of players.
