Yep.

That went very quickly, with no pause at n-1. Here's hoping Vorret is rogue and that Chaos has another good nation in his pocket.

It looks like Isgrimnur may have jumped for an alliance's sake. (Especially convenient if he and theo are not only allied, but rogue, since Isgrimnur can now claim he cast a (very non-threatening) vote against theo).

Possible alliances now:

{msteelers, Remus West, theohall, rshetts2, Isgrimnur}

-or-

{Chaosraven, Qantaga}

MOD NOTE: I just realized I did not send out an status update to all players of what their Alliance Status is and that it would affect some of your decision on your night orders.

Therefore, I have just sent out the update and I will give everyone another 24 hours to change your initial monitor and envoy orders. If you have no changes then no message is necessary. Sorry about the inconvenience and confusion.

Night Boilerplate:
All Counties: Which country do you wish to monitor?
All Countries: Do you wish to send an envoy to another country to attempt to Secret Alliance? If so, which country and please include your secret message with the order?
Good Countries with Super Spy: Which country do you wish to send your Super Spy to?
Rogue Countries: Which country do you wish to destroy?

The deadline for submitting your night orders is Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 10:00 pm ET.

Mod Notes: All leaders have been informed of the envoys visiting them. Leaders must decide what envoy they will accept if any and provide the one time secret message to the Mod to send back. Remember you can only select one envoy per Night.

Sooner I get those orders in the sooner I can process the night.

The deadline for submitting your night orders is Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 1:00 pm ET.

Beginning of Day 3

Image

The CRAY32 has launched a nuclear attack against the good nation of Poland (Chaosraven) destroying it utterly. In a remote corner of the world a super spy cries out in anguish and then swallows a suicide pill after failing his nation.

Image

The remaining leaders of the nations convene again to authorize a nuclear weapons attack in a effort to end the crisis. But who are the rogue nations? And can other means be found to take back control of the CRAY32?

Destroyed Nations:
Paracel Islands (Unagi)
Martinique (Lagom Lite)
Italy (Grundbegriff)
Canada (Vorret)
Poland (Chaosraven)

Remaining Nations:
Tuvalu (Theohall)
United Arab Emirates (Semaj)
Solomon Islands (Qantaga)
Fiji (rshetts2)
India (msteelers)
Papua New Guinea (Remus West)
Suriname (Isgrimnur)

Each day leaders will be able to place a vote for the leader/country they wish to destroy.

Only votes (and withdraws) cast with the   tag are official.

A majority vote will close voting.
If the Day ends without a majority reached no leader/country will be destroyed. Deadlines will normally be 5 to 7 days depending on weekends or holidays.

Majority is 4 votes. The deadline for voting is Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 10:00 pm ET.

Mod Note: Just a quick apology with my moderating of the game over the last week. Delays like the ones I allowed really kill the momentum of a good game. In the next iteration of these rules I will look for ways to streamline the night process while still allowing the fun of all the back room deals. Still, I got to remember when you are moderating you need to schedule sufficient time to maintain the game. I owe to you guys and I want you to know I take the responsibility seriously and won't allow this kind of mess to happen again. Now please go start nuking each other.

Awful nice of my "ally" to cast the killing vote. I also monitored him last night:
From: msteelers

Very good. I will follow your vote unless you give me further directions. If you happen to vote for someone I've already entered into an alliance with, I will quote your accusation post and say I have to reread the thread.
Enjoy the denouement.

Maybe he and Theohall are the Rogue nations and thus do not care? Maybe rshetts is in an alliance with them? Us?

Meanwhile at the United Nations ...

Image

"Point of order! A few of us have an announcement to make."

Msteelers, Remus West, theohall and rhetts2 all stand up.

"What is that?"

"We've decided that the situation is too critical to leave it up to a committee and have instead formed our own alliance. We are called it the League of Calamitous Intent."

"Why, thats the stupidest name I have ever heard of."

"It may be but you won't be around to worry about it. We've just used our codes to unleash the remaining nuclear missiles at your countries. Long live the League of Calamitous Intent!"

Game Over! Secret Alliance Wins!

Winners: Msteelers, Remus West, theohall, rhetts2

Final Roles:
Tuvalu (Theohall) - Rogue
Fiji (rshetts2) - Rogue
Italy (Grundbegriff) - Good - Super Spy
Poland (Chaosraven) - Good - Super Spy
