THE PROMETHEUS DAWN

Agents, you are now assigned to the mission codenamed “Prometheus”. After this briefing you will be immediately transported to Mumbai, India. In Mumbai you will board the Grecian freighter named Alexander. The freighter is owned by an MI6 front company. The Alexander is slated to sail to the French port in Marseilles. The ship will traverse one of the most dangerous waters in the world; the horn of Africa. As you are aware of there is rampant piracy in this region of the world; the UN & other entities have set up anti-piracy flotillas and command structures. You are to provide another layer of security for the Alexander. Your mission will be to insure the safety of the ship and make sure that it arrives safely with all its cargo and no delays at Marseilles.

We do anticipate trouble on this mission, since it has come to our attention that the Alexander has been under surveillance by unidentified parties. We are in the process of trying to identify them. You will have to be vigilant.

You are authorized to use any and all force to make sure that no unauthorized parties board the ship. You have full and total control of the ship. Bond and Q will be present in this mission, as well as Judy Havelock will be serving as a special attaché. However, their identities will be undercover.
It is of vital national importance that the Alexander and its cargo arrive safely. The Alexander will leave port within an hour of your boarding the ship. You will find all equipment loaded on to the plane, which is now waiting at Heathrow. Good luck agents, you will need it.

Chapter 1 - The Freighter

The Chopper set down across on the far side of the docks. It had been a long flight, and the team felt it.

Qantaga was the first out of the chopper, he looked over and carefully watched the squads of guards posted around the freighter. For a moment he briefly analyzed entry and exit points, but just as quickly he shrugged that moment off and headed toward the Alexander. Theohall was the next out and one by one the team filed out of the chopper and headed over to the freighter.

“So this is the ship we’ll be escorting, Not the prettiest by any stretch I’d say.” Msteelers said, looking over the freighter.

RMC4 squinted as he looked the impressive vessel. “Bet she’s armored though.” He was looking for defensive positions that could get exploited.

“Bet a rocket launcher would put a helluva ding in her.” Scoop said as he tilted his head left and right, working out a knot.

“You know I think I packed one of those in here somewhere.” Truicy said as he held up his bags

“So what exactly we escorting to the French again?” Remus asked.

“They didn’t say, strictly a need to know basis, typical government bureaucracy.” replied Lassr.

The group grew quiet as they boarded the ship. The armored guards gave them hardly a second glance, they had been notified a specialized crew would be arriving.

“Let’s set up the headquarters and do a personnel check as well, make sure we know what we are dealing with.” Stessier suggested.

Rshetts2 & Slim099, both carrying a laptops, passed by him, both carrying computer equipment they headed to the designated headquarters and started to set up their equipment.

“Grund and I will do a quick security check.” Unagi said and they both ambled off.

The team split off into groups, their tasks assigned, they knew what they were doing and they weren’t going to waste time.

As the teams went about their different tasks, the ships horn gave off a long blow, and slowly the ship the Alexander left the port, and entered the Arabian Sea.

As it started to sail out of the port it passed a luxury yacht, a man stood on the deck of it, a pair of binoculars firmly tracking the receding Alexander. He couldn’t help but smile, knowing that soon the contents within the Alexander’s hold would be his.

In naval architecture, a poop deck is a deck that forms the roof of a cabin built in the aft (rear) part of the superstructure of a ship.

The name originates from the French word for stern, la poupe, from Latin puppis. Thus the poop deck is technically called a stern deck, which in sailing ships was usually elevated as the roof of the stern or "after" cabin, also known as the "poop cabin". In sailing ships, with the helmsman at the stern, an elevated position was ideal for both navigation and observation of the crew and sails.

The fantail is an overhang at the extreme rear of the ship, aft of the poop deck and closer to level with the main deck.[1][2] On a stern wheel steamboat, the fantail supports the large paddle wheel and is typically angled upwards so the shaft of the paddle wheel can sit higher than the main deck. On some steamboats, the extreme end of the fantail supports "monkey" rudders that mimic the operation of the main rudders in order to provide additional steering control.

On modern, motorized warships, the ship functions which were once carried out on the poop deck have been moved to the bridge, usually located on the superstructure in the center of the ship or the island on the starboard side in the case of aircraft carriers.

In nautical parlance, "to be pooped" means to have a wave come over the stern from abaft.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poop_deck

So no pooping on the poop deck!
