Number of powers and the good/bad ratio to be determined by number of players. Aside from there definitely being a Seer the roles and powers included in the game will be randomly determined and not shared with the group as a whole. In order to maintain the secrets of which roles are out there, day powers other than the medium will not reveal the player who used them.

Sign-ups welcome.

Current abilities under consideration (feel free to suggest more):
Alpha - wolf, can convert a human into a werewolf
Beserker - wolf, can take a player with him if lynched
Witch - evil human, negates power of targeted player for a cycle, night then the following day
Sorcerer - evil human, hunts for the Seer
Hunter - good human, both protector and shooter
Warrior - good human, can act as the beserker wolf if lynched and take someone with him
Masons - good humans, begin the game knowing each other and have a private forum to chat in
Medium - good human, holds public ceremony to speak with the dead allowing one dead player a single post
Undertaker - good human, investigates the dead, learning their role
Psychic - good human, knows which roles are in the game
Coward - good human, hides each night thus avoiding getting attacked once before his hiding place is known
Guardian - good human, protector
Trapper - good human, can shoot a single player during the day

Moderator reserves the right to tinker with the randomly assigned roles in order to maintain balance.

Remus West wrote:Witch - evil human, negates power of targeted player for a cycle, night then the following day
Sorcerer - evil human, hunts for the Seer
Just to clarify, both of these players will scan/lynch/be killed at night as Human, but win with Evil, right? And have no knowledge of the wolves and can not PM or talk on their forum?

Other roles that might be fun as separate or to combine with already established roles:

Evil
Beta - Wolf that learns role of dead player
Gamma - Wolf that searches for Sorcerer. Once found, may PM with Sorcerer. If scans the Seer, Seer will learn Gamma identity.

Good
Divine Shooter - Bullet that kills evil but leaves a good player unharmed
Mentalist - May have PM conversation with one player each night
Mayor - Has an secret Overvote that can be used each day
Mathematician - Every night able to determine either the number of powered players remaining or the number of wolves remaining.
Whore - chooses 1 player to be with during night. If chosen is targeted as kill by wolves, Whore dies. If chosen is a Wolf, whore cannot be target that night. If there is only a single wolf he will be to busy to make a kill that night (there will be no kill).
Weredog - Good, wins with village. Scans as wolf. Will kill one wolf if attacked at night (but dies in the process). The wolves may twice per game submit that they are attacking as though the target is the weredog when determining their night kill. If they are correct he will not be able to kill one of them as they are prepared for him.
Eavesdropper - Can stake out one person's house every night and determine whether or not they pm'd anybody that night. (Could be set off by wolves, medium, masons, etc)

And a power roundly derided by everyone (a great reason to include it!):

Villagers - Residents of a doomed little Village.
  • Receive the name of someone who is not She-Wolf just before Sunrise on Monday Morning
  • Name is provided by Random.org
  • Duplicates are possible and not all names must be distributed
  • Will show "Good" on death

And wow - looking back through the old games to find these powers really brings back memories. I can't believe the Wheel of Time game was 8/2008. 2008 overall really seems like a banner year for the games here. It was the height of the "Complicated" games: Lars Lynching 5, Controlled Kaos, Divine Relics, Austin Powers, Wheel of Time, Ragnork, JLA, Warhammer, BSG, and LOST 1 over on popehat. What a great year!
