My vote for Lagom earlier is because he seems to be riding Chaosraven's coat tail and voting for me based on Chaos' accusation so far.

I guess my main concern, is most of the people that seem the most suspicious are the ones talking.

I think we should be looking at the quiet ones for at least one or two Imps.

I think Mr. Bubbles or Tru1cy are our current best bets. With LL and Scoop not far behind.

In rereading this thread(not all the way done yet), those two and the silence that they have just sticks out to me.

I think that both CR and Remus have acted odd this game as well..But let's face facts, they both always act odd.. :)

Re: The Empire Strikes Back - Day 7

Postby Remus West » Mon Jun 11, 2012 2:46 pm

Finally have a few seconds (but not much more so this will be chopped off).

I am C3P0.

I intended to come out the day I called for reveals but I had saved my day's question to check any claims. Then when warpig claimed a provable role I used my question and awaited a response before moving on and by the time I got back the day was over. So.....here ya go.

Started:
7 Imperials
6 Rebels

Day 1 - stessier - not special
Night 1 - redrun - special
Day 2 - No lynch
Night 2 - Jow - not special
Day 3 - Grund - special
Night 3 - triggercut - not special
Day 4 - No lynch due to Boba
Night 4 - Qantaga - not special
Day 5 - Austin - Imperial
Night 5 - El Guapo - not special
Day 6 - Newcastle - Imperial
Night 7 - purge - special

Questions each day:
1 - Emperor - No
2 - Tarkin - No
3 - missed chance as the grund vote closed on my window
4 - Vader - Yes
5 - Nute Gunray - No
6 - Greedo - No
7 - Maul - No

I thought about asking about Wedge but I believe LordMortis' claim and thus did not bother. I thought about asking about Mara but figured I believe RMC's claim to that role and with no Emp in the game there is no worry there either.

So:

Rebels (6) :
redrun - Mon Moth (due to Elimination)
grundbegriff - Talon
purge - Yoda
warpig - R2D2
Remus - C3P0
LordMortis - Wedge

Imperials (7) :
Austin - Boba
Newcastle - Presumably not Vader possible Dooku
? - Vader
? - Dooku?
? - ?
? - ?
? - ?

Summary of Imperial Roles:
Emp - Out
Vader - In
Dooku - In
Tarkin - Out
Thrawn - ?
Rukh - ?
Jabba - ?
Boba - In
Jorcus - ?
Cad Bane - ?
Ventress - ?
Grevious - ?
Maul - Out
Gun Ray - Out
Greedo - Out

3 or 4 more Imperial roles out there. I think we got damned lucky on which ones were in.

I never asked about Talon when grundbegriff came out because the first day I had already asked about Tarkin right away. Day 2 I had bought into the idea that Talon would have challenged grundbegriff's claim if he was in the game (for some reason grundbegriff telling the truth never occured to me). I intended to get him to claim the role he was saying he was going to give us and then be able to confront him with it not existing unless he got lucky - and if he claimed he had scanned C3P0 then I was going to demand he tell us who it was. I was very happy with myself for trapping him into a guess as to role. Looking back I think he did scan me.

Current State of the Game:
14 players
5 Imperial - 9 Rebels
lynch - miss 5/8
night - 5/7
lynch - miss 5/6
night - 5/5 game over

Vader is immaterial for the number of misses we have remaining. 2. They have no other "beserkers/shooters/people who kill us during the day in any way shape or form".

My count has remus at 3 votes. Not necessarily a panicked reveal.

How many people could Remus be covering for with this? RMC is the main one. I don't see much else. Geez that's a lot of imperials.

If telling the truth Remus is now the most dangerous player and just confirmed there's nothing we can do to protect him, so if he's faking it, we'll have lost tomorrow. If he's telling the truth the only thing we know for certain is Remus is good and maybe RMC.

If there are any other good guy specials, speak up now so we can debunk Remus.

C3PO.

Interesting...

I wish I totally believed it. Maybe I do. Actually - I'll tell ya what I think - I think I don't even care all that much about 'doubting it'.

If you are indeed C3PO, can you at least see how entertaining this all would be to a wolf-Scoop?

 Scoop

I also think that we could hit IMP-DIRT if we took our swing against tr1ucy. (As if I haven't been saying that, for pretty much the entire game)

I'll let others muse over the chances that you are indeed C3P0.

That's pretty much my thought about why I would just run with Remus' claim being true, and see if we lose.

My thought is that our best chance to win is half embedded in us needing Remus to be right about the Emperor (not in the game) and RMC being unconvertable.

So, I'm taking Remus and RMC off my 'table'.

Perhaps the intentions of those who said they would vote Remus should be considered for the number of votes he feels are there.
Certainly any remaining Specials should come forward as that would give us an Imperial.

Need to revisit his Numbers based on his omission of Rukh as a Shooter.

So with a C3PO spoof and a Converted Mara?

We could assume the numbers again, for 2 Shooters, what would be the total that we should have already lost today, and step it down from that (since we haven't).

I can accept Remus claim for now, though I would have preferred a Mara and/or Wedge scan in there somewhere, putting the empire in a position of choosing to after us or disprove us. Mara is my obvious hope but I'd understand if others felt differently.

Lending to his credibility is his claiming there are no other living specials. If there are any other living specials, you should come out now (though you should have come out before)
Detracting from it is that he waited until warpig put his vote on him and that's a huge detraction. So much so that I don't take remus off the block.

I don't accept him enough to allow him input on a vote, so I'd just assume let him post today and ignore everything he says for now and hope that his vote goes wherever it needs to go to keep the vote from stalling today if need be.

I really don't think Cad is worth scanning for because there have been at least two opportunities to use him to throw off our rebel proof (Warpig and Purge) and one to mess up grund.

Vader is material for me (And possibly the game depending on the math I haven't done). I am worth two night kills.

coop wrote:If telling the truth Remus is now the most dangerous player and just confirmed there's nothing we can do to protect him, so if he's faking it, we'll have lost tomorrow.

1)I assume that means if we don't lynch an imperial.
2)
Why?

14 players 5 imperials.
miss
12 players 5 imperials.
Vader chokes
11 players 5 imperials.

Unless you know doku is alive.

My gut says to vote for you today. It's a shame my gut sucks. But I'm going with it anyway.

 coop

But I'm willing to see it go another way pretty easy.

My fear is that if remus is covering from rmc that there are three places to find an imperial. Of course, I've already conceded that I am willing to lose to rmc being evil, so if remus is in cahoots with him, it doesn't matter so much. I'd have committed to losing days ago.

Try it this way:

If we lynch Remus, and he comes back Rebel, what does that give us for numbers (as his Info would be True, though Flawed)?

As the First Miss, we would be at 1 Chance left, except for possible Vader(RW confirms) and Rukh(RW forgot) and Dooku vote.
So that 5/7 come morning would have 2 Imp Shooters (5/5) and we lose.

An insidious puzzle.

If Remus is indeed C3PO, but just that dumb, it could cause the loss.

So Remus, explain to us how you glossed over the other shooting role?

I didn't even think about that

7 empire, 2 dead, 1 Mara unconverted actually means

14 players 4 empire remaining.

I also forgot about rukh. I had the crazy potential for shooters listed early and then forgot who's who.

Potential 2 shooters(?) At least one in the game. Plus potential Doku

miss tonight

12 players with 4 empire
2 shooters would take it down to 10 plus an overvote would equal the potential to win the game if they took two shots and rushed the vote as coop suggested using different math.

In what way does it cause the loss unless remus is suggesting we lynch a rebel? It only causes the loss if two shooter and doku are alive and we lynch him today because he's that dumb.

Half is 7. Two shooters could put us at 12, where 6 Imperial get the Win. So there either aren't 6 Imperial or they indeed only have one Shooter.
At 13, Majority is 7. So there either aren't 6 Imperial or Dooku is Dead (as one Shooter would put us at 6 plus overvote to pass into Night)
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.
The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.

In what way does it cause the loss unless remus is suggesting we lynch a rebel? It only causes the loss if two shooter and doku are alive and we lynch him today because he's that dumb.

That's why I wanted to try the Numbers based on:

Remus telling the truth
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.

1)I assume that means if we don't lynch an imperial.
2)
Why?

The only reason to fake a role that will be disproven by living through the night is if that gets them to what they need to win before we can do anything about it.

I thought was established that Mara doesn't count as an imperial after the game starts. The she is a citizen. She is basically a rebel gimme. Is that not the case?

bb2112, if mara is a conflicted citizen does she count for as an imperial for the end count or as a rebel?

??? Remus back is against the wall with the warpig vote. He's going to fake whatever role best fits with him not getting lynched. 3P0 is a nonprovable vote short of there being another living rebel.

How will his role get nonproven by living through the night?

As she would be Unconfirmed by either side?
