[Note: all flavor text, though adapted from the play, is randomized in usage and contains neither hints nor correlations to the characters and connivance of the actual game now underway. Enjoy, but draw no inferences.]

Image
"The Moor, howbeit that I endure him not, is of a constant, loving, noble nature, and I dare think he'll prove to Desdemona a most dear husband.

Now, I do love her too; not out of absolute lust, though peradventure I stand accountant for as great a sin, but partly led to diet my revenge. For that I do suspect the lusty Moor hath leap'd into my seat; the thought whereof doth, like a poisonous mineral, gnaw my inwards, and nothing can or shall content my soul till I am even'd with him, wife for wife, or failing so, yet that I put the Moor at least into a jealousy so strong that judgment cannot cure.

Though in the trade of war I have slain men, yet do I hold it very stuff o' the conscience to do no contrived murder. I lack iniquity sometimes to do me service: nine or ten times I had thought to have yerk'd him here under the ribs.
It is Thurday morning. One of you, walking through a piazza by the way, discovers the body of poor stessier, slain by a knife to the ribs.

What will you do to redress this wrong?

Ha! What a pleasant surprise. I was expecting Newcastle to come back foe.

Maybe Q was Emilia.

Since we should be able to win this today, this information should help. I had the handkerchief originally, but misplaced it. Thus, I will never know if it has been stolen.

If you speak the truth that leaves Chaos or Holman (from my point of view).

I see nothing to suggest that badguys cannot hold the handkerchief, so I'm not sure why you'd eliminate theohall.

If the game has no Bianca:
The handkerchief will be randomly given, at the game's outset, to one player other than Iago, Roderigo, and Emilia. It will stay with this person, and this person will know that he possessed it and misplaced it.
Ah here it is.

So if theohall is telling the truth, then Lassr, Holman, and Chaosraven are our primary suspects. Hmm.

It has to be Chasoraven. I don't get the feeling it is Holman, it is not me. If it is Theohall he took a chance in announcing he had the handkerchief as someone else could have been holding it.

Uhm, if i read he rules correctly the hankie doesnt travel. So if theo is telling the truth he's had it all allong.

It will stay with this person, and this person will know that he possessed it and misplaced it. If Emilia finds it, she will take it and convert. The one from whom she takes it will not learn that it has been stolen. If the one who possessed the handkerchief is lynched by day, then Emilia may still find the misplaced hanky sometime afterward.

I hate to play the newbie card again, but I'll just say that I don't have enough experience to feel confident leading you veterans on. I'm a Venetian gentleman, I've never had the handkerchief, and I've had no secret communications with anyone.

My protestations of innocence are sincere.

I'm inclined to suspect CR, but that's based more on what you guys have said in earlier rounds than on any clever deductions of my own.

after re-reading the thread. I've narrowed it down to two who I think it could be, with one slightly nudging ahead of the other.

I'd be curious to see what others think and wont divulge my thinking until I see others so not to contaminate the process.

After a quick reread, I love it when we are only at a few pages, I might poke Q or Theo. But man I am always wrong on Theo.

Why those two? Because I think they are flying under the radar a little. Theo is usually all fire and brimstone, and pointing at a target and keeping to it. But it is day one...

RMC wrote:I still think Chaos is being way to quiet. And the trio(Remus, BB, Chaos) are not attacking each other like usual.

I think this means that one of the three is on team evil. Not sure which one yet. But my bet is Chaos.

BB is being helpful BB, which is usually his good persona in my past experience with him...

No read on Holman, he might just be good at these types of game. <shrug> Didn't he say he had played werewolf in person someplace?
Keeps pushing Chaos, but yet never votes for him any where over the next few pages or the next day.

I think Iago rests somewhere in the set of players containing Lassr and CR.

Both theohall and Holman seem to be goodguys.

CR's laying low the entire game is very uncharacteristic of him, but I wonder if he'd be more engaged in the game if he were a villain.

I think he would be.

I think his lack of engagement is due to him being just a plain, ordinary Venetian.

Trig - have you looked at RMC's interactions with everyone and the final pools interactions w/ RMC? Might be worth a look.

I kind of want to say more, but I really would like to see a bit more from Theo, Holman, and CR before continuing.

One question bugs me though - if you said you have the hanky, why reveal it? if emilia is around they will scan you and flip to team evil. Have to keep in mind we still have a good shot at missing tonight as well.

Just for something convenient to see, these are the killing votes

Remus West - Lassr, Chaosraven, theohall, RMC, stessier, Newcastle

bb2112 - stessier, Newcastle, RMC, Lassr, theohall

RMC - stessier, Lassr, Holman, theohall, triggercut

Chaosraven's absence on two votes stands out. It's almost like he achieved the goal of getting Remus West killed first and quit trying.

Lassr has been very engaged. His early vote on RMC does not look like a bad guy vote, but Lassr can be as devious as the rest of us.

I agree it is likely one of those two, but do not know which one.

Is it better to lynch me today to get that out of the way so you can lynch Chaosraven tomorrow?

I think we win if we lynch Chaosraven today BUT what if we do not...then we are screwed come tomorrow because everyone will vote for me; meaning Holman or Theohall fooled us all.
