Speed Circuit

Post by Tony L »

Hi All,
Have been running a Speed Circuit PBEM since early 2010.
Interested people should post to this message.
This is a fast paced move a day game and I have 14 racers currently, 8 of them have been with me since the beginning.
We currently run a 5 race season, 3 or 4 laps each race and it is run in the Calendar year, so we are just past half way.
Thanks for reading,
Tony

Well Tony L, you have attracted your first bot to play. Now the question is, is Tony L also a bot? On topic subject for a bot is a little impressive. The Fashion bot, not so much.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Yes. It's common occurrence here (both bots and bot accusations). I think Lassr was just joking. And I'm sad you got no response here but the forum games forum in very niche. There are probably only 30 people who read it and most of them are only here for the werewolf.

Good to know and Welcome. It is usually very suspicious when we have a new user because most often they turn out to be bots.

Drop by everything but gaming and introduce yourself there.

Hang around and enjoy.

And LordMortis is right, this part of the forum is very niche and a lot of folks that read your post probably were like me and thought you could be a bot.

Yeah, first post, no introduction, unusual post structure - I did the "bot or not?" analysis too, but you may be pleased that I concluded that there was only a 20% chance that you were a bot.

Yeah, I kind of skipped the whole introduction thing and jumped right into the deep end of the pool.
Perhaps because I have become so comfortable on some of the other forums i visit regularly, BGG, cichlid-forum, Dakka Dakka and a bunch of others.

Anyway, short intro.
I have been gaming since the late 60's and like many types of games. I do Military miniatures, ACW, 40K and others.
Speed Circuit is my all time favorite Board Game and the first Game I purchased for myself, (1971). Other than chess pieces, :)
I play some computer games but all are Military games of various eras.

Sorry for the confusion.

Regards to All,
Tony L, (NO BOT) :)

You'll be most happily received in Gaming in General where most of us board gamers talk about our board gaming, dice gaming, rpging, etc as they eagerly await the semi annual gathering in Chicago for 48 hours board gaming and Polish food.

I didn't think you were a BOT but I also am unfamiliar with Speed Circuit so I didn't say anything.

Oh, For those that do not know what Speed Circuit is, it is a Formula 1 racing game.

I believe Speed Circuit to be far and away the best Automobile Racing game ever, and there is no shortage of variants.

Fun and fast paced and we have a great group.

The Bot comments are sort of a running joke around here. Don't let them scare you off.

I'm not sure if you'll find any PBEMers here, but if you do I think soliciting them will happen easier in Gaming in General.

When "they" were running Formula D, it wasn't by email. It was a moderated game actually played on the board.
