Well that one was a doozy--our 1.09 point/game average this week is our third-worst of the season. Congrats to Chemnerd for taking top dog, and congratudolences to Captain Caveman for both 'earning' Dumbass and also managing to hold onto the top overall spot.

We've also got a tight race at the top of the End-of-Season Surge competition, with Monkeyskunk, Mr. Bob and Rdog within 4 points of each other and five more people right behind them.

Two weeks left in the season! Special congratulations go out to the five teams that managed to score 30 points and lose this week, as well as to the Lions who managed to give up zero touchdowns at home... and lose.

That last second SF victory certainly didn't help me, but I'm curious if I've made up any ground on CC (or even have a chance to win at this point).

If you don't want to update until after the SNF game kicks off so as to not potentially influence anything, that's fine with me.

Ugh, what a painful final day of regular-season football. Conte sucks. Congrats to Captain Caveman for finishing in first place heading into the playoffs--and doing so emphatically, tying for the final Top Dog award. He'll head home with at least 10% of the pot and he holds the first tiebreaker in the playoffs (regular-season position). He also takes home the End-of-Season Surge prize (5%), edging out Monkeyskunk and Mr. Bob via the tiebreaker. This is his fourth regular-season win, having previously won in 2009, 2011 and 2012. He also has finished the playoffs in the money twice (2008, 2007). With the win, he moves up to 2nd in the all-time competition, behind only the legendary Meal.

Leave a little something for the rest of us, will you?

To those of you finishing below The Line™, I hope to see you back next year donating participating again. To those above--good luck in the coming weeks!

A quick rules recap for the playoffs--everyone will start with zero points. The first three weeks' games will follow normal scoring, while the Super Bowl will be worth double points. Players have the option to designate up to five locks for the duration of the playoffs--each lock (including a lock used on the Super Bowl) is worth the usual +/- 1 point. The top three playoff finishers win the big bucks.

Corrections to Week 17 scores must be submitted by Tuesday night (on the off chance that the playoff roster is impacted).

Surprisingly (perhaps?), you weren't the first this year. We had a few folks forget some Thursday picks that were 'obvious' locks that blew up.

I'd have to double-check, but I think it's the first time in the many years I've been doing this that I've forgotten to submit a pick. My wife forgot a whole set of early games this year, that likely cost her a seat in the playoffs (she missed the cut off by a single point).
