As I recall, I earned 5 doubloons in that trader phase, bringing me to a total of 7.

I will build a fortress for 6 doubloons (10 - 4 for manned quarries), leaving me with 1 doubloon.

Shouldn't be that long. The game will end when the VP chips run out or someone builds out their island. Grund lists the VP total as "more than 30". My personal guess is that that'll run out in two captain phases given that Morliere alone just netted ~ 11 (I can't be bothered to check that number) in the last captain phase. As for building Nick and I only have three building spots left (with the "tall" buildings taking up two spots).

Now that I check the VP chips left actually, I'm kind of regretting buying the royal supplier. Oh well.

On the other hand, I am deeply concerned about reports that shoddy goods shipped through an unofficial wharf appear to be causing severe injuries to consumers in Europe. The Puerto Rico Attorney General ought to take a close look at that.

I send 1 Indigo, 1 Sugar, and 1 Corn through the Royal Supplier for 3 VP.

Then I ship 3 Indigo on the boat Moliere chose, filling it. 3 Vp for a total of 6.

Ok, so Vorret tragically has no choice but to load his 4 corn onto boat #8 for 4 VPs. Boat #8 has three slots remaining.

Morliere has to ship his 1 sugar on boat #7 for 2 VPs. Boat #7 has two spots remaining. In addition, Morliere can choose to ship his 3 coffee via his wharf for 4 VPs. If he doesn't then 2 coffee crates will waste.

I then have to ship my 1 corn via boat #8 for 2 VPs. Boat #8 then has two spots remaining.

Remus then has to ship his 1 corn via boat #8 for 1 VP. Boat #8 then has one spot remaining.

Nick then has to ship his 2 sugar via boat #7 for 2 VPs. Boat #7 fills up and sails to Europe. Nick has 1 coffee left which safely remains on his windrose.

Vorret can't ship his 2 indigo or 3 tobacco, so 4 crates waste. Vorret has to choose whether to keep 1 indigo or 1 tobacco.

I can't ship my 1 indigo or 4 tobacco. I'll waste 1 crate of tobacco and store 1 indigo and 3 tobacco via my storehouse.

Remus is left with no goods.

I think that's right. Boat #6 and #7 are now empty, boat #8 (corn) is left with 1 spot remaining.

Indeed (by my calculations). I think it looks like this: Morliere: +11 VP, Remus: +7 VP, El Guapisimo: +7 VP, Vorret, +4 VP, Nick: +3 VP. That's a total of 32 VP, so it's conceivable that the VP chips just ran out and the game ended.

eh, heck, I know what I'm doing next regardless. We still get VP for unemployed nobles, right?

I'll take Mayor.

Boat noble goes to the Royal Supplier. There are no other spots open on my windrose, so my colonist and bonus noble (from villa) will hit the beach. Unless the noble needs to be employed to count for VP, in which case I'll swap him with the colonist on my sugar mill.

FWIW this exhausts the supply of nobles.

Actually I think the summary is understating the noble supply by 1. The most recent summary says that there are 2 nobles left in the supply, but the total noble count on each windrose (before this phase) adds up to 17, and we start with 20 nobles. So there should be 3 nobles in supply heading into this phase, which means there should be 1 left in supply after this phase.

Which probably won't matter, but there it is.
