Presidential Primary Debates

Post by Moliere »

Are you a Democrat or a Republican? No 3rd parities or Independents allowed here.

GAME RULES

The Republicans

Image
Ben Carson: Every night he stabs someone while explaining to them how pyramids work.

Image
Rand Paul: Once per game he can pick a day to filibuster the debate, preventing anyone else from talking. He outs himself in the process. Regardless of the current vote count (as long as the required majority has not been reached) he can control who gets voted out of the debate.

Image
Donald Trump: If either Ben or Rand are removed from the debate then Trump can buy a Democrat of his choice to take their place. Trump chooses whether they will take over for Ben or Rand. If he chooses Ben then the nightly stabbings will continue. If he chooses Rand and Rand has not used his filibuster power then the new Rand can use it. Buying off this Democrat is kept secret. If Trump tries to buy Hillary she will attend his wedding, but not be converted. The attempt will fail and can't be used again.

The Democrats:
Image
Hillary Clinton: If the Democrats ever lose 2 debate votes in a row then she can resurrect the Democrat of her choosing. Both her and the person she resurrects will be outed in the process. This power can't be used at the end of the game on the vote that decides the final winners.

Image
Bernie Sanders: Each night he will choose someone to look into their soul and confirm if they are a true socialist. He will only be told the person is a Democrat or Republican.

Image
Jim Webb: Every night he chooses someone to protect. Ben is unable to stab that person while under Webb's protection. If Ben tries to stab Webb then Ben will die. Because nobody gets away with trying to kill Jim Webb.

All other participants are junior Democrats.

Miscellaneous:

Democrats can NOT PM any other player regarding the game.

Republicans CAN PM each other.

Players can edit their posts during the game in progress, however if you edit your post, you MUST give an explanation of why/what you edited.

Dead players can NOT participate in the game - this includes providing information, encouragement, tips or otherwise. Dead players are eligible to ONE post following his death. This one post follows the same rules as before - cannot influence the game, and so forth.

Voting can only take place in the daytime. Any votes made during the night will not be counted.

You can retract and change your vote at any time up to the close of the vote.

The game will begin at DAYTIME.

There will be a TIME LIMIT for Specials to send in their PMs. The time limit will be 48 hours after the posting of the vote decision (NOT after the voting closes) on weekdays, and 72 hours if any of the 24 hours falls on Saturday or Sunday. We will start with no time limit on the debates.

Specials CAN pre-emptively send in their actions during the daytime for the following night. Specials are allowed to change pre-emptive actions unless it has already been resolved.

Turn order during the night:

Bernie scans
Webb protects
Ben stabs

That's funny.

Let the masses decide which is first.

Sign up and state "this should be first/second"

Why would you choose Rand? Isn't the object of team evil to eliminate the opponents? Not sure how they would do so if they cant kill at night? OR does Ben's power serve as addition to their nightly kill?

So if the dems kill trump & carson, then game over right? Sounds a bit premature.

if i missed something forgive me.

Newcastle wrote:Why would you choose Rand?
If Rand is dead, but hasn't used his power then Trump can rez him if either Ben or Trump are about to be voted out of the debate. This is just one scenario. The point is that Trump has a limited power that can only be used under certain conditions.
Newcastle wrote:So if the dems kill trump & carson, then game over right?
Correct, which makes Trump hold onto his power and decide when it is the best time to use it. Wait and see if Webb kills Ben? Wait and see if the Dems vote Ben out? It all depends on when and if Rand uses his filibuster.

All of the assignments have been sent via PM. Please check your messages and post here as a check-in so we can start the game. Let me know if you have any questions about the rules or how the Specials' powers work.
