This feels like a no brainer, which makes me hesitate. The story that makes RMC the spoofer is obvious. What's the story that makes Lassr the spoofer? We have time. Let's think it through.

Ohh.. I guess speed is an issue with the potential Boba defense. I don't think Vader will choke, though.

Obviously the bad guys didn't try to kill RMC last night.

Question: Can Qui Gon protect himself?

I assume (from the rules post) that he can, and the wolves might have believed so too, so RMC's survival today isn't definitive proof that he is a wolf.

There's also this: Qui-Gon's protection choice cannot be lynched the following day. If RMC is truly Qui-Gon, he protected himself (as he would have), and we try to lynch him, we'll miss a lynch, but at least he'll survive. He'll then be killed in the night, of course, but that will take the place of someone else they might have killed, and we will also have proof that Lassr is a wolf.

This all seems a good reason to vote RMC. Am I wrong?

Yeah.. that's very convincing. It also make a spoof by Lassr very unlikely. It reveals him to no real purpose. Unless we believe that the Lassr/wolves made a mistake, not realizing that an attempted lynch of a real RMC/QG would fail and prove him good and Lassr bad. They have made what seem like a number of apparent mistakes so far... missing the chance to kill MM in a way that doesn't verify anyone, wasting an overvote. But this whole line seems pretty tenuous.

I'm convinced enough...and time is important.

ehhhh, I was popping in here to suggest to people to not lynch RMC too quickly, as we should give him a chance to say something, and for everyone to weigh in. BUT...he's already at n (7 votes). So..... that's that, then. Looks pretty solid at the moment, in any event.

Huh. That went way too fast. Did we just get whipsawed by the wolves? I hope not.

Wouldn't we have wanted Boba or Vader to come out and reveal themselves?

They must have scanned Punisher and discovered he was a Special.

I don't see why wolves would opt to kill a good newbie otherwise, especially when people had been talking all along about suspecting him.

The protected person cannot be the target of a lynch the following day. If a lynch is attempted on the protected, it fails and it goes to night. Players will be told the lynch was blocked, Qui-Gon’s identity will be revealed. I

At this point, the only who would know what roles were removed is OB1, correct?
Is it worth it for him to post his results or is this along the same vein where specials should never reveal themselves unless threatened?
This is the post I think Punisher inadvertently revealed himself as special, or at least hinted at the possibility.

Taking a while for BB to do the write up. Wonder if a bad guy got an order in? but I would think he wouldn't show voting as closed if the order came in before the lynch votes.

After what seemed only minutes post day break, El Guapo opens the day's discussion, “So, anyone want to call RMC’s claim of being Qui Gon into question?”

“Oh, oh, pick me, pick me!” Lassr shouts with his hand up in the air.

El Guapo gives him a rye look, “Do you have something to contribute?”

“As a matter of fact I do,” quips Lassr with a huge smile on his face. “RMC is not who he claims. I am Qui Gon and that man is an imposter!” Lassr stands up pointing at RMC. RMC gives one look of shock and feints dead away.

Exhausted from the last several days, the votes come pouring in one right after another. Before RMC even has a chance to wake from his feint, the vote was in. He was doooomed. DOOOOMED!

PLW pulls out a meat tenderizer he must have stolen from the kitchen and starts beating RMC’s head flat. “This one will never eat kittens again!”

Chaosraven watches with fascination. He leans over to Remus West, “That one has some anger issues.” Remus just nods and slowly backs away as blood starts to splatter like a Gallagher show.

El Guapo pulls PLW away, “It’s over PLW. He is dead.” El Guapo turns back to the body and starts to search it for any kind of identification. He quickly pulls out a necklace with the Imperial symbol from RMC’s shirt. There can be no doubt, RMC was an Imperial!

RMC is dead and he was an Imperial

It is now night.

Night: Events happen in turn order
Qui-Gon Jinn: Who will you protect from the night kill?
Mon Mothma: Will you sacrifice yourself for the rebel cause?
Imperials: Who will you kill?
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Which recently deceased will you scan for their identity?
Talon Karrde: Who will you scan to discern their identity?
Joruus C'baoth: If you can, who will you scan to discern their identity?

Based on the speed and my paranoia of that being the last play of the game, that was my guess at Lassr faking QG and getting RMC lynched in speed mode.

But to avoid Vader et al, that worked well, as RMC lied.
