For those of you voting Scoop ask yourself how on earth his play makes any sense as a wolf? I realize it makes little sense as a villager but as a wolf it makes even less. Everyone is alive so they know the protector is still alive yet wolf Scoop comes out with zero pressure on himself and places the cross-hairs squarely on his own forehead? Nope. Not buying it. Even if you honestly think he "forced" El Guapo's hand (I disagree since I think events forced his hand regardless of Scoop and regardless of a self-protect or other protect) nothing he did makes any sense at all for a wolf at this stage of the game.

That's exactly why I'm not voting for him, it makes no sense, I'm fine with scanning him (gut feeling it'll come back clean...).
Beside we lose nothing keeping him alive, he's in the crosshair anyway.

I think it's still semi-likely that Scoop is the Berserker. I agree that maybe we shouldn't lynch him today, but he should be scanned.

Faking a come-out wildly and early is similar to what he did last time, so it would be perfect Berserker cover this time. And all the "Kill me!" stuff doesn't look good.

Step into Scoop's shows
IF Villager
-If a villager scoop spoofed this role, he had no idea if el guapo self protected or not; and thereby his actions would have FORCED El guapo's hand regardless if there was a self protect or not.
-the last time scoop spoofed a role like this he got burned badly and i dont think he'd repeat that mistake.

As a wolf
-scoop saw an opportunity to lay claim to something and would potentially get the protector lynched
-scoop would get the "benefit of the doubt" and probably float for a couple of days until the village deals with him; that's what he's banking on
-scoop doesn't strategize much with the other wolves. I remember on one occasion he said somethign to this effect "i wont check in here much, because i do better on my own". So this, if it is a wolf move, is not sanctioned by the other wolves. This is solo scoop wolf.

I'll be honest, there is a part of me that can really see this as villager scoop doing his thing; but there's a larger part of me that sees this as a wolf ploy.

As much as I like discussion on day 1 to get feel for things; i see this scoop issue as being huge for us and will be forever nagging us in this game and we will have to confront that issue eventually. Why not now? He says he's a safe bet. Why go fishing elsewhere and possibly turn over a special? Why not give our specials another day to do their magic?

Anyone seen grund? Would drop a vote on him, but not moving my vote from scoop.

Let's reconstruct the moment:

Day 1 dawns with no kill
-Holman makes a post...

Scoop then makes a post.....

Villager Scoop:
Scoop as a villager rises out of bed, yawns, see's no one is killed. He doesn't wonder how, who or why it happened, but the first thing he thinks of "i have to spoof the protector" in order to protect them. This will also cause chaos and confusion.

Wolf Scoop
Wolf scoop has been up all night, and damn it there has been no night kill. Well since I am Mr. Splodie wolf, let me rush in there claim the protector role and force them to come out. I dont know if El Guapo was protected or if he is the protector. I do know that we were thwarted. My spoofing this role will also cause chaos and confusion. WIN!
-if i draw out the protector that's an awesome win (think rook for bishop in chess)

Again it doesn't matter when the Mr. Splodie wolf goes off, it only matters that he does and inflicts damage.

Punisher is around.
Punisher typically only posts when he has a question or has something to contribute.
Punisher is not good on analysis for this game in general, especially on Day 1.
Punisher lurks and let's the veteran players post so that he has something to go on, rather than doing the random spin wheel vote thing.

if you need Punishers input.. Punisher does not believe Scoop is a wolf. However, it is Scoop, so who knows whats going on inside his head. If we can't come up with a better person, I would vote Scoop. I think he may be a safe kill, even if he is Mr. Splodie though...

So...because this caused me to really laugh during the Walking Dead game, but more importantly i think it shows scoop...specifically the "hold my beer". Not sure if this is appropriate and will remove if it isn't.

I know, very unlikely.

This moment in your 'fake' is what seems the most wrong to me... as someone who is a villager and trying to help the Protector? (who you yourself say most likely self-protected).
Just such an "odd move" IMO, for a villager to 'fake' with the very first post of the day...

If it was ANYONE but you, Scoop, there would be no question that it was done by a wolf, IMO.

There's a chance Scoop is a wolf but if he is a wolf he's the beserker so lynching him isn't the best of idea, I say let him live, kill someone else (like, I dunno, the Canadian hater) and we scan Scoop. logically our seer shouldn't die tonight since El guapo will be the nigth kill .

Re: The Parasite -Day 1

I am just gonna ramble on some numbers here....

14 players
-3wolves(X, y & Scoop)
-1 El Guapo
- 1 scan
(5)

This is the world according to the wolves:
9 players left who they arent sure about.

Of those 9 players there are roughly 2-3 more specials left...

Tomorrow
-14players
-day 1 lynch innocent villager
- el guapo dies
-day 1 scan
-day 2 scan
-3 wolves (X, y, & scoop)
(7)

Day 2 starts with
7 players left who the wolves dont know their identity.

So i did this exercise really to come around to this question:
If you think scoop is a wolf, and you think he's more likely to be mr. splodie....why would you wait to lynch him? they already have 1 scan and a ok feel for the game; why give the wolves any more knowledge. Because if we wait till tomorrow to lynch scoop and he is mr. splodie then the wolves have a lot more scans and knowledge to work with.

Yep, I agree with Newcastle"s logic. If I were Mr splodie then killing me now would make sense because I will have a tougher time finding a special.

But I'm not going to explode so it's safe either way.

That being said Newcastle is definitely acting like a wolf while I'm acting merely like a scoop.

I'm the scoopist scoop there is. The other scoop's are all ducks and clowns. Trust me. I gate getting together with those guys.

Fact: if you KNOW you have a zerker wolf (we don't yet), you save him for last... you don't kill him ever until you are (nearly) out of misses. Right?

I've been on many a wolf team where the zerker wants the go first and fast.

This could have been done (a zerker wanting to come out) because they already know who to zerk from a "Seeker' scan... Maybe they want to get El Guapo tonight, but zerk on someone else today...

Also, Scoop is claiming that he is just a normal village... and that's the best 'role' to turn into a trusted via a seer scan, IMO.
