If it's a video game it goes here.

Where is the game?
Mine has just left Pennsylvania. It is on its way to Richmond, at which point it will be sent to Greensboro. If past trends hold it will arrive at my desk at around 3pm tomorrow.

At which point I will suffer untold agony for about 4 hours.

I haven't been following this game as much as HL2 or Vampire:Bloodlines....but I must say, what I've seen of it recently has me interested. I'm pretty sure the evil minons of the OO forums could persuade me to purchase it for the Holidaze...if y'all speak highly of it.

Smoove, there is a freeware game, Pirates 2, that will wet your pallate. Play, and see if you enjoy the game. If so, buy Pirates! If not, then don't.
That freeware game actually works in Windows XP, so good luck!

I haven't bought a day one release since MoO3 either. That was the last, though I am very tempted here. I've had a hankering for something new, so I might be stupid and check out EB at lunch tomorrow. Do I even want to know how much it is hitting the streets for?

Reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly? Instead of doing work, I will find this and download it - saving me at least 4 minutes at home.

Thanks.

You might also want to check out World of Pirates since it's in Open Beta right now, and a *little* more up to date graphics wise. (It's also an MMOG)

Wow. I had no idea there were so many pirate games out there.

It's almost like...OO needs a page or two on games.... ;)

Thanks for sharing.

I really want Pirates! to be good. Everyone hurry with their impressions over the next two or three days :) I might pick it up over the weekend if people are enjoying it.

CompUSA $39.99 on sale. So probably $49.99 regular price.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

According to Gamestop, my limited edition should arrive on Nov. 29, which is the day we get back from our Thanksgiving vacation. Unpacking will have to wait a day or two, I suppose.

Oh, and what kind of movies do pirates like the best?

Ones that are rated "Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr."

There's still time to cancel your order. I suspect the brick and mortar stores have the limited editions in stock now, and will for a while this afternoon. I know the ones in North Carolina do, not that that's any help to you.

I'll go check the B&M for the limited editions, but my order already shipped. If I can find one, then I'll return the copy I get monday.
Or, I'll just wait patiently, playing my new PS2 games and Vampire until then.
