Decent story.
Lame AI.
Very disappointing ending.
Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with my purchase. When Alyx picked the Strider over me to be her lover, I was atleast hoping for some tentacle porn.
If I had a sig, would you read it?

Now I see why you had to pull an all nighter. You've been saving that one, haven't you? -)

I'm really just using this as an excuse to pad my post count.
IRC people are saying that it jumps quickly from 82 to 99. I'm at 82 right now also.

The thing that strikes you first is the facial animations of the characters you meet. Leaps and bounds better than anything that has come before. Wow!

Yep; 30-min impressions: Wow. Awesome ambiance, and the characters are indeed head and shoulders above all that has come before.

I got 1 hour in.
Intense.
Beautiful.
Immersive.
Paranoia.
NO SLOWDOWN, EVEN OUTDOORS!!!
I want to stay up, but really shouldn't.
A bit linear, so far. Wish I would've explored more...
Fantastic.

very first impression...i was a little surprised when i went to load the game and a message to insert my CD came up (bought retail). it's not a huge issue in my mind, but you know there are going to be a lot of complaints. unfortunately, given the nature of Steam and updates, i'm guessing that keeping a working no-CD crack may prove to be a real pain. the game does use Securom for the disc check though, so it should be possible...
as for the game, i've played up to the point where i have my trusty crowbar (and getting shot starts to matter), and i'm pretty impressed so far. the graphics and animations are exceptional, and i had a good time trying out the physics on a playground...pretty neat stuff. it's 4:25am right now though...will have to pick it up again tomorrow...

Usually with FPS games, I just jump in and play, then get bored.
I jumped into HL2 and am completely in awe. I don't want to stop playing, but it is 2:00am pst now, so, it's time.
Goodnight!

Not to hijack the thread (fat chance of that happening), but I hope the HL2 diversion doesn't get in the way of finishing CMAK and CMBO with my 2 favorite PBEM opponents here

I was going to stay up, but then I realized I'm an old man and I was sleepy. I waited until this morning, and I only slightly regret not waiting up.
That's my purse! I don't know you!
