Wow, that game is still going?

I admit - I played the beta and not the release version. But after giving over a year of my life to Ac2, I wasn't about to pay to play another crappy MMORPG.

I'll just keep waiting incredibly impatiently for WoW.

I'm ashamed to admit it; I tried Horizons.

What a lousy game.

But it did sound fun.

I have to admit that except for the grinding aspect of it (which is basically the same for every MMORPG I know of), I rather liked Horizons for a while, but once all of the Wanderers bailed out, I just got weary of it and quit. When I saw the email, I was tempted for a moment to go back, but then I realized the pointlessness of it.

I just wish that there was a fun, engaging MMORPG that didn't involve endlessly grinding out levels. I'm not sold on WoW yet, but we'll see.

I actually had quite a bit of fun in Horizons as well. The crafting system was really good, and the ability to change classes was fun as well. They also had some good in-game events. I stayed with it for around 2-3 months I believe, until it became obvious that it was going to take much longer for them to get the content in that I wanted than I had patience for.

That said, I think I laughed for a good five minutes after receiving that email today. After having seen WoW and EQ2, ummm....sorry Horizons but there are two supermodels coming over in November and you're still the same skank I broke up with last year. I don't care if you did get a new haircut.

Horizons was all about potential. It had the potential to be a great game, it just didn't deliver.

I was looking for the part that said "Seven day free trial to revisit [whatever they called their world]."

At least Horizons allowed me to appreciate WoW's loading time.
