Not that I know of, but if you haven't already make sure the port Civ uses is automatically directed to your computer's IP.

Are you getting into Gamespy but not our specific game? That's strange. When installing, there was an option to let Civ make an exception in Windows Firewall. Did you allow that?
edit: and if that's the case, maybe you can try hosting the game over Gamespy (which shouldn't be dependant on your connection, I don't think)?

Turtle changed some config issues and is trying to host a direct connection game. His IP is 71.108.133.169

Trying to configure my router up, I screwed something up and lost my internets connection. By the time I'd figured out what I did, it was about 1:00 am, so I bagged it.
Sounds like a fun time had by all tho!
