You've got Golden Sun? That's great! I've been wanting to hear the thoughts of someone who's played it.

So .... tell! Tell! How was it?

Your grubby, pizza-encrusted hands have sure been on that HL2 box a lot. If I look close enough I should be able to steal your fingerprint pattern...

I still say that was one of my favorite moments in the game. Not THE favorite, but one of them.

Heck yeah, the airboat level was awesome. Between the running from everything trying to kill me and the stops now and then to open gates (and kill the Combine) I had a blast.

Did you go for the Steam only purchase? Let me know how it works for you. I will probably break down after T-giving. :)

Yes, I got the cheap Steam only package.

It's weird. I was able to play with 69% of the game on the computer. Offline mode was disabled but I think it requires 100% of the game to play offline. Strange thing is that I was able to play at all with only "part" of the game and I only knew that it was only 69% complete when I checked the game properties. When looking at the Steam internet monitor just now I notice that it is downloading more HL2 content as well as Counterstrike content. I think it's a neat concept but I could have used some more info about what is up. At least the part of HL2 I played looked pretty gorgeous except for some strange graphical artifacts such as railings and floating surveillance cameras that appear almost whited out that I'm searching for info about. It could be due to me running DX9b so I installed DX9c, restarted, and now am letting Steam download the rest of HL2. Still baffled why it didn't do it before.

It also noticed that my Nvidia drivers were old and suggested an upgrade but I'll hold off on that for a moment since I remember some complaints about the latest batch of Nvidia drivers and with my 5900 card I don't know if it's worth upgrading to the new drivers which are geared more toward the 6000 cards.
