I'm at a part where I need to blow up 3 generators with my grav gun. I've done two, but getting to the third is my problem.

There's a room that has a bunch of red laser sensors in it. You walk through one, guns descend from the ceiling and a big metal door locks behind you: instant red screen. After reloading, I took the grav gun, grabbed a painting off the wall and chucked it in from outside the room. What happens? Guns go off and the door closes, with me and my homeys outside. No big deal, right? Just wait for the door to open? Well, after cruising the building several times, the door WILL NOT OPEN. I just hear the "beep.... beep.... beep...." of the ceiling gun waiting for someone's ass to come in.

Is there a way to get that door open? There are no buttons anywhere. All the other doors are the "false" ones. Grav gun can't punch it open, and my homeys are just standing there saying, "Excuse me, Freeman."

Could it be? Did I break Half-Life 2?????? OMGZ!!11!!11!!!!!!11!!

Reload and do the room the right way? :)

I hit a bug on a later level and had to reload, SPOILERS

On one of those places where you have pull an energy ball out of a generator thing to shut down a force field, but if you shoot it back into the generator the field comes back up, I pulled it out, shot it back, the field came back up but the ball didn't stay in the generator. So the field was up but there was no way to shut it down again. Couldn't get through without reloading.

I saw a few other bugs here and there, but that was the only time I had to reload because of one.

Wow. Think you might have. I guess the game assumes you're inside when the lasers are tripped, and therefore you're dead.

Hmmm. I am surprised it doesn't reset itself after a few minutes though.

Have you seen any heist film in the last twenty years?

That room is a jumping puzzle, avoid the beams. Course I'm struggling to put the layout to words, if you look about you the pattern should make sense - the next move should be pretty easy.

lilrgn, same thing happened to me. I chucked a hopper in there and the doors slammed on me from the outside. I spent a while trying to figure out how to get them back open before I realized that it was a bug. The game should have ended right there.

Reload an older save or maybe use a noclip cheat. That's all you can do.
End of line.

Yep, I did the exact same thing the first time too. Threw a hopper in there and was screwed.

Mmmm indeed.

Catherine Zeta Jones from "Entrapment".

Total chick flick, but worth it for that very scene. :)
