IF you liked Vietcong I can highly recommend this game to you. I finished both the original and Purple Haze and liked both of them.
The main thing most people won't like about it is that you cannot save anywhere. I played on Medium (middle of the three difficulties) and I had alot of fun with it. The last mission and 2 other sections were really hard but other than that the game was a blast. My heart was pounding as I finished the last part of the game; that is always a good sign of a good game
