Neverwinter Nights

Post by CSL »

Well we haven't had any talk of Neverwinter Nights before so I thought i'd bring it up. Reinstalled the game and all the expansions last night, installed the CEP and a new modules such as the Lord of Terror one. Wondering if anyone is up for some D&D goodness?

I'm always in for a session of NWN. Let me know when you want to play, and I'll be there.

You do nessecarily NEED the expansions. Some modules you don't need any expansions just the original and maybe the CEP. I'm pretty sure a few of the Hall of Fame modules only require the original and some hakpaks.

For example this module....

http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/modules/da ... 3373.shtml

....The Light Reborn, a hall of fame module only requires NWN and we could do that. What i'm thinking we'd want is to get some good modules that would only take an hour or two to complete. Nothing that we'd have to continue night after night. If it sucks, so what only was an hour.

I've never done the NWN multiplayer thing so I would be interested if the chosen night is Sunday. I have no idea of the quality of any particular modules so I'm happy to DL whatever you guys tell me to. :) ..although I don't own any of the expansions.

I've got nothing to do tonight or tommorow so if anyone wants to play i'm all up for it.

I would recommend this module....

http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/modules/da ... 5864.shtml

I don't see it requiring any of the expansions and is rated rather high.

So are you DMing? I don't have time tonight or tomorrow night (at least until after 9 pm CST). I'd like to give multiplayer a try since I've never tried it before. I guess we create characters beforehand?

I just bought the Platinum edition, so I'd be up to give it a try.

What's the CEP, anyways?

Community Expansion Pack, adds quite a lot of stuff any many modules require you to have it now.

Oop, didn't see this thread, but I'd be up for an hour or two of NWN some night. Hopefully something can solidify.

Alrighty. Who is up for some NWN on Sunday evening (say around 7pm EST?). Talking original NWN with the CEP no expansions required. Starter module for level 1's and we can take it from there.

I can probably move to an 8pm EST start. Not much later than that though since it is sunday night. Let's see if we get any other takers with time requirements and we'll set a final time.

Just saw this thread. I need to get my game installed, my Disc 1 seemed to have some issue previoulsy but MP NWN was always a favorite of mine. I'd been down to play a module with some of you fine folks. I'll watch this space I guess.
kind of like a cloud I was up way up in the sky and I was feeling some feelings that I couldn't believe; sometimes I don't believe them myself but I decided I was never coming down

Don't forget the new official modules that are out today at the new Bioware store. Are any of those multiplayer?

Well, CSL and I played a module the other night. During the course of things, CSL decided to kill the village's favorite deer. So, everyone in the village attacked CSL on sight, effectively ending our NWN evening :D

However, all is not lost. We will be getting another NWN night together soon, and hopefully with a better module.

Have you guys been meeting up on IRC first?

When is a good time to be on IRC to find either of you because I have ventured onto IRC a couple of times and to be quite honest it "frightens and confuses me"

We did meet up on IRC to exchange the ip and such beforehand. I would suggest perhaps that you come and hang out on the channel a little. Nobody will bite you I promise. Do you know how to find the gonegold channel on FEFnet?
