Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile
No, I don't have anything to say about it. There are probably several Beta testers reading this who would just LOVE to violate your NDAs...anyway, it's coming in November, so I thought it deserved a thread. I hope there's some interest out there beyond the Beta group. You know how people are always lamenting that there's nothing new and different? This one really is...and I'm not the teensiest bit biased by being a Tilted Millian.

I'm definitely interested and can't wait to hear some feedback from others once the game's released. A thousand times thank you for finding something better than the walker system. I can't tell you how many times I screamed at the peddlers in Zeus when they missed one little block of apartments.
Are there plans for a demo to be released? As cool as the game sounds, I think I want to play it a little so I really know what it's about.

I've seen a demo discussed, and would imagine there'll be one eventually. It would be nice if it appeared before the game came out, but...
...without violating and NDA, CotN is a very complex city engine disguised by having very easy "surface" mechanics. I'm not sure that a demo wouldn't frustrate people before they understood exactly why certain consequences were happening as the result of their actions. Using tried and true city-builder strategies instead of tried-and-true common sense might cause some problems for some folks. It is *very* different in style and strategy from the Impressions Games titles.

I'm really looking forward to this one.
Heaven's Games will have a Nile forum. That's always been the best place for city builders to get good info.
