I found one. It was just the single spawner room. I think the fortresses should be farther out than we have yet explored.

When I created this map I flew out to +/- 1000 in every direction in order to generate the terrain in 1.3.1 (this is why those chunk errors are really frustrating), and I saw two or three temple type structures at the extreme limits of those runs. So they're out there.

The village by the power station has mysteriously lost it's villagers, also.
Odd that both of them would get wiped out - and no one was even by the one by me.
Gotta figure out how to get them to breed and stuff, because all but one of the new ones in the village by me totally suck.

Strange - I was trading with the villagers by the power station last night. The only thing I noticed was that their wheat field was empty. I was planning on bringing back some seeds on a future run. I wonder if they have a food economy and can get starved out.

Hmf, that is weird. There was none there Saturday SUPER late (right when the game went offline - McG and I were on).
Well that's good then.

In the village up N, I built a 'farm' with 120 doors and trapped a few in there. They spawn really slow, though.

I egg spawned a bunch if villagers in the one near your base bain, did they despawn? Also, the wheat is gone in the other village cause I harvested it for them. I assumed they'd replant it though. guess not.

They despawned the other night, but you made a handfull to replace them.
Since they weren't as good as the other ones (as far as crap to trade), I made a big ol farm for them to breed in.

I worked on the near village last night. I fixed all of the existing houses and made a few more. I also worked on the paths and terrain somewhat. I plan to put additional doors in the houses to encourage population growth. I have also started lighting it to help keep zombies away.

In the latest snapshot zombies can infect and destroy villages, so definitely take the time to light out a fair distance. Villages are curable though.

Couple weeks ago I got promoted to a management position here at work. We're getting ready to hit things full swing and that means my response time to problems on the server will be sporadic during the day. We haven't had a single problem since the white-list but if something goes amiss or someone needs to be added to that list, just please be patient with my pesky work interfering with minecraft!

Grrr - 3rd time I've experienced this bug. When I go replenish my inventory of building materials - I start building, and I click on one of the block stacks I just put in my inventory - and EVERYTHING I just put into my inventory vanishes completely. When I check to see if the materials I grabbed were in the chest I had them stored in, they are gone - so it's essentially deleting things in my inventory.
It also has ONLY happened when I'm way up on the vertical axis (above the cloud line).
Just happened 2x in a row (almost a full chest of jungle wood gone grrrr).
Not sure if anyone else had this happen, but it SUCKS. -2 hours of farming.

And here, all along, I thought your real job is you played keyboards...

Be nice to see you out building, but whatchagonnado. What McG did to start the server is freaking epic - and what people are doing to 'restore' it is even more impressive.
Outside of Debris, Cylus, Isaac and Semaj (and a bit of Stuie), there ain't any other consistent players. Be nice to see more. Next patch, I'm sure there will be more. With a proper mod API, I'm anticipating the migration to Mo Creaturez and the Train mod will be easy. The train mod is a game changing mod - for sure. Might need admin help, though, since there are 'unique' ores with that. Not a biggy - a portal 5kx5k away from current civilization = all set. Really can't wait for the monsters in the next patch - they are gonna be wicked and game changing.

With all that - we got 2 good xp farms that take about 20 mins to get to lvl 30 now, all labeled and pathed (and close to, I believe, Cylus' new nether portal) in the nether - as well as a chanting table.
If you're nervous about gettin easy xp, be on when 'the sheriff' is on, Isaac. Which reminds me, the city needs a station for him - with a gold badge and all. Side project go.

I keep forgetting to mention - the 'vision' for the city is an issue. It's a GREAT one. The game now only supports 70 spawned mobs at a time on a multi server, if I read correctly. No wonder it's so dang hard to find endermen.... With the abundance of underground caves and the like on a chunk, mobs will spawn in the darkness below - making what happens above less potent.

At least next patch the zombies roles' change quite a bit, especially with vulnerable villagers and biting and the like. Should be friggin cool - but unless there's a way to up that # for mobs significantly, it's not going to be as close to interesting as it should be. I love the mauled city/zombie conflict thing - which is why I'm staying away from city restoration. Hopefully with the mod API (FFS, it has to hit next patch), it will be easy for the admin to adjust. Couple that with Mo Creaturez? Oh baby.

There's an update to bukkit I'll apply tonight. No idea if your bug is even a reported problem though. Also, apparently the client side 1.3.2 is compatible with 1.3.1 server, so feel free to update. Might want to hang on to the minecraft.jar just in case though.

I ran into the same issue this morning. I lost 6 stacks of stone bricks that I made not 10 minutes before they disappeared. I was building, shift-clicked to move it to a hot slot and poof, they all just vanished.

Darn frustrating since I lost all of the resources I gathered, not to mention the time, to make these bricks.

I can't get a nether portal working anywhere near my base. I'm over 450 away from Debris and McBain in town and I keep getting linked to their portals in the Nether. Its very frustrating. I did make a new portal way to the southwest, near where I plan to build and mine, but I haven't connected it anywhere yet since I can't get my town portal working.

I have portal 1k++ away and it connected me to my town base. I DID fix, it, however - best way is to build ANOTHER portal inside the nether to the one you have (using coords) in the non-nether. It worked for my sand camp. It also worked for Debris' pagoda. Stinks you need double the obsidian - but match x, y, z to your outside nether portal and it will work, but you gotta build one in the nether to make it have a go. Pain in the butt, for sure - it's something different this patch - and yes, it's a major pain.

We were in the nether and the server crashed/closed on us. I came back OK, but Isaac is now stuck in the void atop the nether. Is there any way he can be moved back to the real world?

I may log in tonight and build one then. I already have a stack of obsidian because I figured I'd have to move my fast-travel network up to the high levels of the Nether (as per usual). So, I guess I'll figure out my Portal coordinates for Nether and head that way from the current hub. I'll build a shaft straight up from the current hub so that you guys can find my stuff easily.

Sorry I haven't been on. I've been playing on a server where I befriended someone, they built an endermen grinder in The End, then they got mad at the moderators and quit the server.... leaving me in sole possession of the grinder they built! So needless to say I'm enchanting like crazy.

But I'll be back on badbase eventually. Promise. :)

BTW Dibs, no doubt it's an eyesore - it's one of the 'too many' things i got goin on.
ANYHOW. I can't touch the 'system' of redstone until you figure out where you want the switch - timing is everything, so the innards of the arena will have to time out correctly. I'll be on tomorrow if you're aboots and we can sort it out. Could go with 2 switches. One for your grace and one for the 2 people down in the shiznit.

Still framing it out as best I can. Hopefully I don't screw it up much.
Also, this is one thing some 'help' from McG would be awesome for spawners, if not, I'm 100% certain I can create a proper channel to get the baddies to the arena.

EDIT - also cleaned out your white/pinewood farms for mats - you should be good (and obviously replaced them).
Also, stopped at the hard corners. Did not do a ton, but I helped a bit. I hear brown sheep calling - must get back to those hehe. Be happy to help get this bad boy done, though. I'll be on as early as I can... But it will be closer to your lunch timeish.

My offer for obsidian base still stands - with ice over it. I think that would be bad to the bone.

I put a little work into it this morning before leaving, and I almost got the bowl finished. If you want to start working gathering the ~651 obsidian we'll need for the sub floor, be my guest. Also, I wasn't planning on lighting the main floor anyway, so putting an ice surface on top will not be an issue.

I'll be on later this afternoon where we can discuss plans further...such as having McG moving a few spawners.
