Proteus is 50% off right now at Steam and this Humble Bundle link. (The latter will get you a 10-minute MP3 and a DRM-free version of the game, plus a Steam key. The MP3 serves as a game soundtrack, I guess, but it's not very good.)
I've been playing it. It reminds me of Minecraft and Noctis, games that have lo-fi graphics but are pretty to explore. You get a brightly colored island world to walk around in. Both the island and the new agey soundtrack are procedurally generated.
Explore is all you do here. The more you walk around, the more you discover. Just when it seems you've seen it all, something new pops up. I'm not sure there's a goal or an endpoint, but based on what I've seen, there might be.
You might find it relaxing and therapeutic. Kids might like it, too. I like it enough, though I'm glad I paid $5 instead of $10.
