From the Reddit AMA: You'll buy stuff with the dreaded coins you have to purchase. Creators get 70% of the price stuff sells for. You have to be a formal business to be a creator. Here in California that costs $100 if you do all the paperwork. They said they are doing this because of taxes (keep in mind their tax structure is probably very different from other small businesses) but I suspect they are also requiring this to weed out people who aren't serious and people who would hope to get malware past testers.
