STYX: Master of Shadows ... New Stealth Game?
STYX: Master of Shadows ... Apparently STYX is a goblin, a master thief, and all-around handsome guy
This was shown on the front page of STEAM yesterday, and it was the first time I'd even heard of it .. since most of you probably get around more than I do, web-wise, does anybody know anything they'd like to share

Yes, it's being developed by the appropriately-named Cyanide Studios, who specializes in taking good game ideas and turning them into poor to mediocre product. For that reason alone I would be very, very, cautious.

Yes, it does looks so wonderful. And with a 20% off pre-order and a good price to start with, I would be all over it except that it's, well ... Cyanide. Very appropriate name for this developer. I will wait for reviews and hope.

It doesn't take a crystal ball to know that was going to happen eventually.
But maybe I'm just fooling myself.

I don't see how this could be good but if you buy it you can show me the way.

One of the GT folks (Dante Rising) decided to take a bullet and pick this up. He has a couple of nice feature posts over there if you want to check it out.

Re: STYX: Master of Shadows ... New Stealth Game?
No love for the sequel? After purchasing it during the Steam winter sale I finished it this week. Tolerable stealth game if not spectacular.

I didn't finish the first one. I really liked it and was fun but as I am want to do something shinier grabbed me and I quit.

Re: STYX: Master of Shadows ... New Stealth Game?
I bought the first game when it was on sale for dirt cheap but I have never gotten around to playing it (like nearly all games I buy when they are on sale for dirt cheap ).

Re: STYX: Master of Shadows ... New Stealth Game?
Considering there were only a dozen posts for the original you think there would be much interest in the sequel. I am not sure I finished the first mission in the original. There was an optional goal that I couldn't figure out how to get and I uninstalled it. Steam says I played 73 minutes.

I could have sworn I bought the original, but it's not in my library. I've seen that it goes on sale often, so I'll pick it up sometime soon.
