Gamers with disabilities thread
I thought we had a thread on this but as is me I could not find it. If someone can would you please link it here in this named post? Thanks.
I started the thread to post a site I found online. Its a wounded warrior place and the guy himself is disabled from battle. He lost an arm or arms and he makes custom controllers for disabled players.

Even those without hands can use these they say. They look top notch.

I'm colorblind, does that count? It sure feels like a disability in most games.

I'm not completly color blind, but I am color deficient. I only see numbers in a couple pages in this test
there are a lot of games that I have a hard time with because of greens and greys, reds and orange colors getting mixed up. In many cases I can't tell the difference.

I'm celiac*, I don't think that counts either.dbt1949 wrote:I can't play games except on the beanie level. Does THAT count?
* Probably just intolerant, I'm not really sure. Can't eat gluten without feeling terrible, either way.

Right there with you, and I love when games will change the color palette for me to actually be able to see the difference. I love it in FPS, which I don't play often, when they have colors that are close to me, and one is an enemy and one a team mate. I always choose poorly and shoot the wrong person. I blame it on the color blindness, but usually it is just because I suck at the FPS genre.Fafhrd wrote:I'm not completly color blind, but I am color deficient. I'm in that boat. Blood test came back positive, but to "verify" they wanted to biopsy my intestine. Pass. I'll assume that since i feel better from changing my diet that it was an issue for me, celiac or intolerance.Nightwish wrote:I'm celiac*, I don't think that counts either.dbt1949 wrote:I can't play games except on the beanie level. P.S. Gluten free foods have come a long way, but damn, they still have a ways to go.
Sorry to take this thread in the wrong direction.
