Brutal Legend PC ?

Post by Daehawk »

I have this on 360 but never got into it much. Maybe an hour in. Tried twice. But I didn't care for it I think because it was on 360 and the TV. I actually loved the setting and the music. Im wondering if anyone can tell me about it on PC. Id still use a 360 controller but would it look better on my high tech monitor and has anything been added to it? Deciding if I should get it on PC or just go back to the 360 when I want to play it.

I don't think it's a console issue. The novelty wears off pretty quickly and the gameplay gets repetitive and boring.

Highly recommended game to play the first few hours but not one I'd recommend anyone stick through to the end.

I enjoyed the style, setting, and characters all the way through, but the RTS elements they forced into the end just didn't work. It's still a fun experience though

Yup. The RTS elements were awful, but not so bad as to stop you from finishing the game. But I enjoyed the story and music. It's a one trick pony but I played through right to the end on the Xbox360.

I don't believe anything was added/changed/modified for the PC port. I can't imagine a scenario where you would have found it "meh" on the Xbox360 and now be completely in love with the PC version - outside of an inability to use the console because someone is hogging the TV.

Ditto. The game play grows stale, but the story (and Lemmy) kept me coming back until I finished it. I don't regret buying it or playing it one bit.

I bought this during a Steam sale and enjoyed it enough to finish. The unique theme and music were enough to keep me going.

This would have been so much better as a full on RPG instead of a disjointed series of RTS battles divided by RPG lite elements.

For fuck's sake why did they not add the ability to jump like all other games out there? I was looking forward to a lot of fun with this. Was going to take my time. I walk into a small fountain in a mini Stonehenge area and got stuck. I couldn't get out no matter what I tried. the edge was maybe 3" tall yet there was the might Eddie Riggs the roadie stuck. F it. All I needed to save myself was a jump button.

I have this one sitting in my library for years, always wanted to give it a go. But to get stuck like D would drive me insane. I know, as my swearing on TeamSpeak is well known when I get "stuck" to a pebble in any Battlefield game.

Fighting the spider queen made me realize this game is missing something else all other games like it have...a dodge button. You can jump and you cant dodge. Makes the fights much more difficult than they should be,

This has been my go to game all week. Ive been in a gaming funk but this one doesn't bother me now. I play in spurts and its working out great. Im having so much fun with it. I guess if they were going to make a pt2 they would have by now. Shame we'll never see one I guess. The music and the heavy metal world and story is great. In my car even though I have at least 30 songs to choose from i always set the radio to Rock of Ages by Def Leppard haha.

Any cheat codes for this game? I stopped playing right at the end and want to finish it and get it off my hard drive now but the ending battle is tough. After two pages of Google results for cheat codes not a single damn page actually has any cheat..just listing of achievements.

There is no cheating in the Land of Metal! Speaking of bugs, I was super enthralled with the game until the right stick button stopped doing whatever it was supposed to do for no reason. Summon the car, I think.

One day I'm playing the hell out of it, the next day that button stopped doing its thing. I tried multiple controllers, checked it in other games (it does work), but it never worked in that game again. Eventually I just gave up. Too bad. I really liked that game! :( The RTS parts were kind of annoying though.

There are trainers available, but no idea if they work (or are even safe)

Got a trainer and installed it and fought the final battle. Was pretty easy with it. Then after I won I noticed the trainer wasn't even working. I installed it wrong or in the wrong place . I did it all myself! hahahah! Weeee.

After the game is won it plops you back down in the game. Is there something else to do? Seemed to be it to me.
