How do you hold your brakes and burn your tires? When I hold down the space bar and push forward my engine will rev a little but my tires never spin.

Also... 41 little touches you may not have noticed.

I noticed the front wheel drive torque steer today. Theres 100 things listed in the text. I had no idea that npcs would race me at red lights if I rev'd my engine and they were in sports cars. I never stop for red lights :)

New patch. Hopefully this will help with my lag issues after playing for a while. So far it's been silky smooth. Picked a good day to play hooky from work lol.

It appears they have fixed the crashes that I was experiencing - a lot. Last night was the first time I played all night and didn't crash a single time. Of course now that I've said this I'm probably going to crash every 5 minutes.

I just had my first E.P.I.C. moment. I logged in , beat up a hooker, stole her money, went to the beach and rode the Ferris wheel and roller coaster then stole another car and this is when my epic time started. I drove until I saw a classic 1985 or so pimped out Camaro with huge spoiler. Couldn't pass that up. SO I tossed the fat slob who was driving it out on his keister and thats when the po po got involved. At just that instant Pat Benetar came on the radio with Shadows of the Night. Ohh ya baby. I hit the long highway out of town at speed with cops behind me and road blocks ahead of me and a chopper above me the whole way with that song blasting from the speakers. About the time the song ended I jumped a hill and blew out the two back tires and was about to give up when the song Dirty White Boy came on. Oh hell no I said and floored it through a dirt ravine that I followed to the ocean. Right when my car hit the ocean the song was over and I hopped out. I would have made it except I dove under water and couldn't remember how to surface. With bullets wizzing by me under water my air ran out.

What a day.

Damn this game has so many little details in it. I was playing Michael and discovered I could watch TV at his house. It has whole shows to watch within the game. I watched one called Moorehead Rides Again. Ive never been more appalled, disgusted, and entertained watching tv in a game lol.

Is there a chop shop I can work for? Like Franklin steals a car and can take it somewhere and sell it? I stay broke.

Pretty sure you can sell stolen cars to the mod shops. At least online.... We finished a heist tonight. Actually we did it twice. Took us 3-4 tries to figure out what we were doing, but it wasn't so bad. After beating it the first time we breezed through it on the second attempt. So much fun. Still getting epic slowdown online when I exit sessions. Guess it's just my computer. Shrug...

Man if I aint exiting a hospital its the police department :) I come out of the hospital sooooo much. This time I was flying my blimp looking around and blew up. I didn't think I was close to that skyscraper but guess I was.

So much detail to this game. I just now found out how to use a convertible's top. Some of those hard tops are so perfect I cant even tell they are verts. Now I always test them as soon as I take them.

Ill check the offline mod shops to see if they buy them.

How do I meet people I call on ym phone to meet up with? Like I call Jimmy to hang out and he agrees but I get no waypoint to meet him. He doesn't show up on the map and if I go to his house it wont let me knock or enter. ...what am I missing?

Hmmmm the game has given me a mission I have already done. I could have sworn I passed it. Its the Franklin mission where an old buddy gets out of prison and you him and Lamar go get a weapon then go to a warehouse and its that same guy you kidnapped earlier and is a setup. I gotta say Lamar is a dumb fuck but Franklin must be more dumb for following his plans. Anyways I did that mission and dicked around stealing cars and doing the tow truck stuff. Then I used Michael a while then came back to Franklin and it gave me this mission again. Whats going no here??

Ok Ive played this for about 21 hours straight. Im going to bed now. So much fun and so detailed. Amazing I never cared for this series before now. Stole cars, robbed stores, went exploring, played tennis, played golf, ran missions, trained my dog, washed my car, seduced a stripper....weee...so much more.

Makes me what are some of the longest marathon sessions some of you guys have had. Don't want to detract from this thread though. I'll have to start a new one.

Does anyone know the answer to this? It would really help me out with game play. I just want to hang out and chill with them sometimes. I can call them and they say yes but I cant find them. theres no map marker, they aren't at home, and they dont say where to meet them.

I went to the airport to grab something to sight see with but there was nothing at all there. Is there never anything there in single player? Or do I get that later in lvls? I found a plane at the northern airport but its just a stunt plane....which I continue to crash in.

EDIT: Bright idea...use Michael and rent a blimp. That worked......until I flew over the military base and they blew me all to hell. Their warning was.."This is the army *BOOM!*" ...So not much of a warning. I got a lot marked.

WHY IN HELL does this game not have fast travel to the different areas?? Its so silly.

Im driving along on some dirt back road just looking to see whats to see when I hear loud music...."If you want to get to heaven you gotta raise a little hell"...so I pull into this farm house and pull around to the back and theres a farmer there dancing a jig with a boom box...just there in his dirt drive way.

EDIT: Ok I now have Trevor. Going in a weird direction now for sure.

You can also get the little prop-job up north where Trevor lives and have him pilot it around.

There's also a float plane in the reservoir above Vinewood and another in a hidden cover on the east cove near the power plant.

Maybe they'll be there later. I died both times at the military base. Once I drove in and exploded. Not sure if it was mines or something else. The next I flew over in a blimp and they blew me up.

Man I am really wanting to get GTAV. I just don't think my PC will run it very well. Its about 4 years old and has been upgraded to a 780GTX video card. It will probably be mediocre. I'm trying to hold off on a PC for a few more months until I get more of my house unpacked and settled. That way I can really pimp my man cave.

I have a year old rig that has Intel i7 4770K 3.5GHz, 16GB RAM, GTX 780 3GB, Win7 64bit and it runs GTAV at pretty much all high graphics settings at a usually steady 60 fps. And it looks gorgeous. Nothing wrong with that GTX 780 :D

Do vehicles ever respawn? The rarer ones I mean. I stole that monster truck from the radio station and Ive been back at least 5 times on different game nights and its never there again.

I love that area where Trevor is from. I went there a lot with Michael and Franklin before I knew Trevor was from there. You go from town with exotic cars and minis to the country with bajas and 4x4 pickups and stuff. I just hung out up there and stole offroad stuff and went buggying and stuff.

I'll have to check that out, I've stolen that monster truck too and never went back to see if it respawned.

And I can't seem to remember where you can find an unattended helicopter from my Xbox days :(. Besides the military base of course, they tend to get peevish if you try to take it. Occasionally there's one at the heliport near the marina, but I seem to remember the police helicopters can be found somewhere near the Los Santos riverbed.

If you mean me, I play at 1920x1200. I play on a computer monitor rather than a big screen TV and am about 24 inches from the screen, so a higher quality resolution is important to me. I'm really happy with how GTAV runs on my rig.

I play at 2560x1080 29" Ultrawide

Its funny that this monitor is 10" larger than my tv as a kid but it seems smaller to me. I guess missing the huge cabinet makes it feel that way.

I'm playing at 1920x1200 with a much crappier system than you. I have an i5 and a GTX560ti, and it's running really smoothly for me with most settings on normal, with a few bumped higher. I was shocked how well it ran and played on my aging rig. You can see how it looks in the video I linked to a couple weeks back.
