South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Trailer

I enjoyed The Stick of Truth so I will definitely be playing this one too.

Was shocked they were doing another South Park game. The last one was amazing. Can't wait.

Too bad it says that it's developed by Ubisoft this time, not Obsidian.

I guess that means endless collectibles and towers all over the place. At least we know the writing will be awesome.
Insert witty comment here.

My wife and I were just talking the other night about how good Stick of Truth was and how great it would be to have a sequel. Too bad Obsidian isn't doing the new game, but hopefully the new devs will be smart and keep a lot of the design elements that worked instead of starting from scratch.

Stick of Truth is something that I have avoided for no good reason. By all accounts it's a fantastic, immersive, faithful take on the South Park Universe.

Some of the puzzles and tasks you have to do in the game are occasionally rage inducing (ymmv), but beyond that it was one of the best licensed games I've ever played.

It's all of these things.

I only got the title when Cartman said it in the trailer...

Looking forward to it, first game was lot of fun. I do hope they get the combat balance a bit better though.

Yeah, I didn't get the title until then either. And agree on the other as well, combat could definitely use a few adjustments.

I just got it now as I opened the thread again. It seemed like the title was incomplete so I read it again in my head and was like "oh....heh".

And now it is on sale for $13.59.

Maybe this is why I've been avoiding it.

Coming out 12/9/16 -- trailer courtesy of E3. I really liked the Stick of Truth more than I expected. I hope this is more of the same. Trailer does have some NSFW language if you care.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

What is the word on how the combat system works now? That was one of the things they said they were going to change wasn't it? I just couldn't get into the first game because of it.
For motivation and so Jeff V can make me look bad:
2010 Totals: Biking: 65 miles Running: 393 miles
2009 Finals: Biking: 93 miles Running: 158 miles (I know it sucked, but I had a hernia most of the year)

Here's a video showing the combat changes. In short: you can move around.

Anyone else play this game?

Good impressions
Having a fight get interrupted by a car driving through the street.
The red logo pieces as lava.
The crafting system.
Gerald and Randy
Cartman getting pissed about being called "Coon Friends".
Trying to get into Canada.
Being told to hurry up by a character because they want to go home and play Stick of Truth.

Bad Impressions
Still not a big fan of fighting. I try to avoid it whenever possible. Just when I think I've won another wave of people walk in.
Endless fart humor.
