Pacific Fighters! Sightings/Impressions?

Yeah, I've been having a bitch of a time trying to get the game running acceptably... I think it's my CPU, because my framerates don't really change if I've got stuff turned up, or AA on, etc., they just seem to change depending on how many units are involved in a given mission, and not just what is on screen (e.g. if I do a quick mission with say, 12 aircraft total, my framerate will be in the 60s... if I do a campaign mission with lots of stuff going on out of site, I'm down to the 30s automatically, and low 20s in a fight (or worse)).

Very frustrating.
