I don't think that's part of the DLC. I thought I saw that option already. I just didn't try it. Does it give loot?

I only tried it once so I don't know if it gives loot. Pretty sure there are no tomes or grims and you have to survive at least 3 waves before you can get bombs or ammo refills.

I really liked that strategy on Black Powder, but I'd say that we need to have a plan in place for how to respond when the rat ogre shows up.

Summoner's Peak on Normal with 3 bots is awful. On easy they can make the jumps. On Normal, I lost 4 times in a row because they kept falling off edges, missing jumps, etc.

All three of the key contracts are in dlc Karak Azgaraz - we'll probably want to pick that up next time it's on sale.

I will finish up the Enemy Below (3 tomes) today and then I'll have 3 contracts for Waterfront - Easy, Normal and Hard. Maybe we could run Waterfront on Hard tonight - so I can complete all 3 contracts in one fell swoop?

Great game tonight. Some thoughts.

~I'm going to read up on the dwarf and start practicing with him. Wizard is great, but she's a liability in Nightmare. I will probably suck for a little while though until i get him better gear and learn his tricks.

~In regards to nightmare, it is our strategies that are holding us back. We should find some good tips and/or guides to nightmare mode, post them here so that everyone can see them, then start practicing them on hard. Once we have the strategies down there we could move up to nightmare.

Agree. We weren't doing that bad. We beat the ogre. The problem seems to be that hordes become a lot more deadly as the difficulty ramps up. And we aren't very good at standing "back-to-back". So you end up fighting rats coming from one direction thinking that your back is protected, only to find that people moved off and you are now getting hit from both sides.

I know that I'm guilty of it too. I try to keep moving, to dodge to the side. Plus it's really tempting to run to the biggest group. But when the hordes are coming from multiple directions, I think it's more important to close up and have someone facing each direction so that no one is left exposed.

Oh, we're doing great, but there is a big learning curve for Nightmare.

We tend to separate too much, we tend to spend too much time running things down and not enough time pursuing the objectives (which is the thing that matters - I've seen videos of nightmare runs on Black Powder where they never killed the ogre, just had one guy kite it all over while the other three loaded the boat, then the last guy jumped in, ogre in tow.) We also tend to be chatty enough that we can't always get air space to announce problems (although the chatting is fun - I'm not suggesting brevity codes or anything.) We tend to go in and make up plans on the fly, which usually results in multiple plans coming in simultaneously (like three people in Waterfront throwing barrels down to one, or one throwing to three, both of which leave someone exposed.)

It didn't help that the information I had on the conflagration staff was one patch out of date. I was blowing you all up and didn't know it. We have all also gotten in the habit of shooting through people into groups, and we likely reacted that way repeatedly without realizing it.

Oof. Glad I didn't try W&C on Hard. Got it with a TON of Stormvermin. Every group that spawned pretty much. Had 3 assassins back-to-back. Got it done on Normal, but it was not a walk in the park.
