Kingdoms and Castles
I got an email that a game I can't recall hearing about, but was apparently following, was released.
Kingdoms and Castles http://store.steampowered.com/app/56948 ... d_Castles/
It appears to be similar in game play to Banished and Settlers. There is some kind of warfare. The screenshots are bright, but good I think. Oh. Dragons. So more fantasy than historical maybe?
I don't know a lot and the reviews are positive but skimpy.
Has anyone played it and can comment?
For $10 I'll probably grab it when I remember. But more information would be nice.

On my wish list
I spent 90% of the money I made on women, booze, and drugs. The other 10% I just pissed away.

I bought it. I just reached the Friendly Arms Inn in Baldur's Gate, so I should get to Kingdoms and Castles in about 3 years.

Ill keep an eye on it. I just installed banished the other day and not gave ti a good go yet.
What I want is a new Castles or even Stronghold. Orrrr even better a very old game called Siege.

Mangled Pork has a nice let's play video series on it. It's a nice game, about the complexity of Craft the World. I've played it for a bit and will eventually get back to it.

Second! And, man you must be old like me! That is quite an old game. I wonder if I still have the blue floppies it came on.Daehawk wrote:What I want is a new Castles

Castles II was even better.

I think I played about 5 hours of this so far. It scratched the itch I had for a new city builder for that amount of time but I think I hit the wall. There's just nothing to do now, no scenarios or story line. I skipped buying Banished for this same reason.
I guess I'll just go back to Tropico 5 to scratch the itch...

I removed it from my wish list due to all the comments regarding lack of depth.

It's a $10 game that's very pretty to look at and is a nice way to waste time building an interesting enough city. I don't regret the money I spent on it. Mangled Pork has done a lot with his city, pretty cool.

this game is quite fun. For $10 it's worth it.

Re: Kingdoms and Castles
Yeah, it a fun little game. I saw someplace the first three DLC might be free. I don't know if that means substantial game play changes or horse armor, but here's hoping they continue to improve it. It's a nice base.
