I don't mind buying early access games but I have a mixed opinion of playing them before release.

I've played a couple of missions to get the feel. It is on rails so far but it feels like I'm almost done with tutorial stuff. So far XCOM is showing through more than Chaos Overlords but that isn't a complaint. I wish it would get as gonzo as Chaos Overlords but it won't. Instead it's noir and pulp. The focus on one character becoming a vigilante gives me a strong Daredevil and Green Arrow vibe but I don't expect the game to go that direction.

This does look good, so I threw it on my wait list. And while I'm normally one to care about early access, I think I'm going to hold off on this one. I don't want to get into it, play an incomplete game and run out of content. Plus, it's not like the 10% discount is something I couldn't pass up. But yeah, it does look interesting.
