I had totally forgotten about the game Hostage: Rescue Mission.

I have so many memories of trying to pop those guys as they pop up in the window.

It is amazing how basic and low-end the games we used to play were compared to the games of today.

I was amazing sniper in Quake Team Fortress. As in that little gif I could snipe people out of the air. Sniper was all i played nearly. Now I cant play sniper at all in TF2. Ive tried. I did well enough to get better equipment. But now I dont bother. Im horrible.

I was a garbage sniper in pretty much all FPS games, as I was more a LMG kind of guy, but the STALKER trilogy is an exception. Vanilla Shadow of Chernobyl virtually won't let you get close to a sniper rifle, but in Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat, an upgraded SVD makes you the king of Chernobyl. It's actually possible to use it in close quarters as AP ammo will quickly neutralise any human enemy, but it's kinda crap at fighting mutants; that's why the best thing to use as a back-up weapon in CoP or CS mods is the first, lowest gun you can get in game: a sawn off shotgun. It's cheap, light, reliable, ammo for it is everywhere, and will smack the daylights out of any monster that gets in your personal space. Not to mention the bonus cheeki breeki.
